Who has the craziest collectors?

Besides the usual(Gretzky and Orr)I'd say European stars as well. Kolzig fans have some serious bidding wars as does Peter Bondra collectors

Agreed on Bondra. I sold an old BAP Emblem /10 to someone in Slovakia for I believe $176 on EBay years ago.

There is a crazy Elias guy in the Czech Republic... paid over $400 for a 08 Limited Logos "25th Anniversary" patch.

There are a lot of player collectors who pay a lot more money then the player they collect is probably worth. There are a few players out there who were not great players but they have a huge following that pay big bucks for their items. Gaborik, Potvin, W Clark and Linden comes to mind.

I collect Potvin and I can tell you that his items sell for wayyyy more then they should (compared to similar skilled players).

I had no idea Potvin collectors were so nuts... he was my fav goalie when I was a kid - first jersey I ever got was a #29 Leafs... :banned:

How much would a Potvin G-U/Signed stick fetch, any idea?

It would depend on the stick. I bought an AHL one for $75 and I have seen some of the NHL ones gor for $250. His cards seems to get more love then the sticks and mask.
