Who is this goalie?

I think it is Doug Favell but I can't find anything with him pictured with the mask he is wearing. It's from the 1973 Stanley Cup Semi Finals and he was the goalie for the series. Any help would be great.

Here is another picture of Michel Belhumeur!

Could be Bob Taylor, he wore #30.......but Michel Belhumeur wore #35 (Im guessing him).....Favell was #1

I think it is Michel Belhumeur. I found one photo that looks to be him.

Michel Belhumeur it is. Hockey DB shows him appearing in 1 of the 5 games and Favell playing the rest.

Actually that is Bernie parent looking at that mask.

Bernie wore that mask (after his pretzel and before his fibrosport) and wore #30 in his first stint with the Flyers from 67-71

That pic is not from the 72-73 playoffs.

Belhumeur wore a different mask as did Taylor

Yes that pic could be from Parents first stint with the Flyers when he wore #30. If anyone has a copy of the 70/71 Esso Powerplayers card featuring Parent I think it answers this question. Looks like the same mask and stick Bernie is wearing on the front of that card.

Well I'm at a loss.

If the man himself says it isn't him then I don't know who it is.

Did he see the card? We know Bernie wasn't there for the 72-73 playoffs and I still believe that photo predates that series.

Belhumeur played in 10 minutes of the playoffs and Favell played the rest. Bobby Taylor did not see action.

If you look at every goalie who could have played for Philly from 1967 to 1973 it is a short list.

That mask is referred to as the Ghost mask and I don't know of any other NHLer let alone Flyer who wore that other than Parent.

Favell wore a Higgins mask as did Taylor. Favell only wore #1 with the Flyers

McLeod wore a Higgins as well and Gamble had a Fibrosport. Belhumeur's mask is a Lefty Wilson

The equipment certainly looks like Bernie's on that card

The Sher-Wood stick (black tape with corner of blade exposed) the Cooper blocker and glove

If you look at the puck marks on the blocker (dots - row 3) and lower left corner you can see similarities.

Also it is hard to see but there is a puck mark on the bridge of the nose and over the right eye on the mask

I certainly think there is some evidence there but I will not argue with a legend like Bernie Parent. Maybe it's some unknown tryout in a preseason game, I really have no other ideas on who it could be

That HAS to be Parent based on those pics or someone wearing Parents mask, jersey and stick. Even the tape job is the same. No offense my friend but are you sure you are talking to the real Bernie Parent on Facebook?
I mean....there's 1,015 Lenny Kravitz's on there....

It's looks to be him to me. I asked him if it was him and he said NO. The only other thing I notice is the hair coming out the back of the mask. Parent seems to have short hair.
