Really can't understand why Kings didn't re-sign Sean. Philly got him for $1 mil so Kings could have had him for that or less. OS was playing 18-22 minutes per game late in season. Does this mean Hickey will make his long awaited step to NHL?

Hickey spent most of last year injured. When I saw him in the AHL playoffs he was still in a walking boot and had a wicked limp. Hopefully he will have a good summer but I am guessing he will start in Manchester and come up as the season goes on. Hopefully I am wrong for his sake. Now Bernier.. that kid is amazing Hopefully he lights it up with the Kings this yr.

Aren't the Kings top 4:

Doughty
Greene
Johnson
Scuderi

That leaves Drewiskie, Harrold, Bagnall, Piskula, Hickey, and Martinez as the most ready to make the jump for a 5th or 6th d-man? Between those 6 do you think there are 2 ready to make the jump? I thought they were pretty high on Drewiskie, Bagnall, and Martinez with Hickey only being delayed because of injury.

It seems like everyone is forgetting about Colten Teubert. I think he's more NHL ready than Thomas Hickey. People seem to only remember about the players who's picked in the top 10 and have played NHL regular season games. Teubert is a big and tough hitting defenceman who will be a top 4 dman on the King's roster.

I would like to see big Teubert get a shot next year.

i believe the Kings top 6 d-men next year (barring any trades) will be...

Doughty-Scuderi
Johnson-Drewiske
Greene-Fransson

fransson played 8 years in the swedish elite league and had a great year there last year. he's 25 (i think) and should transition well to the NHL game.
i think they will start the year that way and give Voynov and Hickey some time in start the year in Manchester and see how they progress.
Muzzin probably needs another full year in Manchester...Teubert needs at least two years.
Martinez and Harrold will be in and out if there are any injuries.

i don't put it past DL to make a deal for a d-man, but that's what i'm thinking for now.

Never liked him at all. Isnt that who we go for in exchange for cammalleri?

Yea dude, he is gonna be a good stay at home defenseman. He has size and strength and I think his only knock is his emotion. Best part is he is born in BC wooo!
