Why such a low pop report for these McDavid Rookie-year cards?

So I am throwing together a list of stuff to sell. I try and comp against ebay to ascertain an approximate value. I looked up this card:

2015-16 Upper Deck Full FOrce Draft Board Connor McDavid

and a listing on ebay says "PSA 10 Gem Pop 5". I thought that had to be a lie so I looked at the pop report myself. It was no lie. This card in PSA 10 is a pop 5.

I get more curious and wonder what this card is in BGS 9.5. Obviously, I am curious because I have one.

2015-16 UD Full Force Draft Board Connor McDavid

This is a pop 9 in BGS 9.5.

I know it isn't a rookie. I completely understand that. But the last three raws have sold for $25(BIN), $25.50(auction), and $39.16 (auction, but only one bid so who knows if it is legit). It is a visually appealing card, it's kind of refractor-looking.

Why is the pop report so low for this card?

It is from UD Full Force set, which was so thoroughly reviled and ignored by the collecting public that they only brought it out in the 15-16 season.

It's one of those sets where UD heard approval for a past idea and then completely misinterpreted it. Stuff like acetates, metal cards and so on all fall under the heading of "technology cards". They're relatively popular overall - witness the unexpected popularity of Synergy this year after three years of studied indifferenc. UD was told "we like these tech cards" and heard "all tech cards are good". Full Force is the result.

It's low POP because it just isn't worth it to be sent in for grading at the time - better to sell raw.

With the increased demand in anything that is a PSA 10, some cards do have low POP's because there was never a demand for them to be submitted in the first place versus, say, and McDavid Young Guns.

It’s an ugly non rookie from a set nobody liked... I’m not trying to be rude but that’s exactly why.
