Wildcard Weekend Mail Call

Just getting ready to see the hometown Jets get clobbered by San Diego in tonight's wildcard game. I'd be very surprised if the Jets pull this one out.

Anyway... on to the mail.

Upper Deck sent me another 'correct' SPx rookie redemption, which is available for trade:

Marek Zidlicky - 1331/1500 (pretty cool number)

Next, Dave (Sacrebleu) sent me a bunch of Dual Jerseys from 02/03 Rookie Update. These are all upgrades to my set... which makes the others available.

Got a nice Legends Classics (redemption) card in the mail from eBay:

FINALLY, I got the King Kong of recent rookie cards. Brian (Langway05) was correct a few weeks ago. The low bidder who won the auction never paid and I was offered the card. The seller even gave it to me at a nice discount for pointing out the large cash wins the other deadbeat had, plus not having to relist the item and such.

The card is actually FOUR colors. The swatch in the bottom left is actually Neon Green, but my scanner doesn't show it. The other colors are Navy Blue, Silver, and hints of Red. I'll have to get my girlfriend to scan this card because hers picks up all of the natural colors. I'm happy to mark this card off my wantlist. Perhaps Mr. Vegaspuck can kindly locate this swatch on the Blue Jackets' crest.

I can't believe Kaeding missed that field goal. Good gawd. Well, either way, the Jets will get trounced by the Steelers or Patriots next weekend.

I'm not doing the Premier set... just wanted the 'big boy' if you catch my drift.

Thanks Trev. I figured that I might as well sell some stuff and just buy the darn card myself. Seemed like nobody was willing to trade one... and I wasn't about to buy boxes trying to pull it myself.

Out of curiosity... has anybody hung up their pennant(s) from Legends Classics yet? I'm trying to figure out how to hang up my NYR pennant without ruining the piece with tape or a nail.

There is a hole in the Mitchell and Ness tag that is attached. I guess you could hang it by that. BTW Jay did you see there is a GAG line Pennant on ebay. I don't know if yoiu want on of those also. Mike

I'm not into those "line" pennants... just some of the team ones.

Do you like the NYR pennant? Personally, I'm disappointed in the colors. It's way too dark. The brighter colored pennants seem more appealing.

Jay, they make top loaders for pennants now. They might be a little bit too big for these, but it's still worth a shot. Ask your local money pit if they have any or can order you some
