25. 2002 Entry Draft first pick, Carolina Hurricanes, Cam Ward, Goaltender (has not yet played).

He played in the preseason game lastnight. Does that count? Or does it need to be a regular season game?

The problem is if ITG doesn't get its NHL license, will they be allowed to feature current NHL players in those draft redemptions?

Price has said as much, and intimated that the NHLPA and NHL were likeminded on that point.

Only problem is ... if the NHL/NHLPA drags its feet in granting ITG a license, how much longer will the company actually be able to stay in business ... and does it even "pay" them to have the redemptions even printed and distributed if they're not making any money through new product and no license is in the making?

I would think they'd allow these to be produced under the terms of the licenses they held at the time they were produced.

It'll end up coming down to consumer loyalty. If we as a hobby don't support ITG's non-licensed products, then no, it won't benefit ITG to print these cards for us as a community.
