My brother and I are going on Sunday...I've wanted to go to a Wizard World show for some time, glad it came to me

Went to the Comic Con today. I might go again tomorrow just for kicks. But while there's lots there, it can all be done in one day.
Interestingly enough, while FanExpo was larger and there were a lot more people, the Wizard World show had a lot more people dressed up with some wicked costumes. It was setup pretty well and a lot of fun to check out. Definitely a good first run of the Wizard World show in Toronto.

It was a great show... the presence of wrestling personalities was a nice touch as well! How often do you get a chance to see Kamala? Exactly...

Went today and this show has some potential...once they get things up and going, it should be much better. Seeing Gil Gerard and Erin Gray was numbing. She's still gorgeous and...oh yeah, this is a family site. You get my drift.
Kevin Nash is bloody MASSIVE.
The dealers were out to lunch...a lot of them had STUPID prices on things...I have to wonder what they paid for a table there. With $31 admission, I'm guessing it wasn't cheap. Looking forward to future shows and more exclusive stuff!

Yeah, it was a good show. Has potential to become more.
I believe a 10x10 booth was around $740. Expensive, yes, though cheaper per sf than FanExpo. (and cheaper per sf than the Sport Card Expo). I read on another board some rumblings that graphic novels or some stuff was not marked down. But the argument was that these items sell well at their shops so there was no reason to mark them down. In any case, I am clueless when it comes to reasonable pricing for any of the stuff that's there. I was checking it out for fun... I prefer sports cards.
It's a good show, but will need more comic industry presence, and bigger signing guests to gain traction. FanExpo attracted almost 60,000 people last fall, is at a better location, and just announced that Stan Lee will be there this Fall (strategically announced this past weekend while the Wizard World Toronto Comic Con was on )
