Thanks for the comment, I just picked it up. I'm thinking it was intended to be in the original set, but got replaced for some reason.

There was a case of employee theft at ITG back around 02-ish. The details are fuzzy, but I recall a bunch of cards that were made but not released escaping into the wild as a result. This might be one of those, but I am speculating.

Brian may or may not wish to comment further.

I remember back in the day a person coming into a now closed card store about every 2 weeks with entire player print runs of low numbered sets or complete sets of some of the different ITG memorabilia cards.

Assuming this is the same copy that was up on ebay a few months ago now, I asked Dr. Price about this card but he didn't remember one way or another since the set is so old. It may be worth sending him a PM.

I had never seen this card until a few months ago so I don't think there are very many out there.

I did get it from eBay a couple months ago. From a prominent Canadian seller that everyone knows... (not sure if I'm allowed to say who).

As far as Quincy's comment, I agree and believe some cards from this era did get out 'the back door' as I found some 00-01 BAP Signature Series Franchise cards without serial numbers being sold on eBay for a time. (All true 00-01 BAP Franchise cards were stamped with a serial number /30).
