Worst slash ever?

The player's version of a Tomahawk chop? Very lucky he missed the head, looks like it hit his shoulder. Kinda surprised the guy or his teammates didn't go harder after the offender.

That looked absolutely brutal. This guy you would think would be charged by police. That's freakin' assault with a weapon if I've ever seen it.

Well, helmet was the intended target, unlike perezhogin's mouthsplitter......

Wouldn't post a link, even if I could find one; too ugly to re-watch.

McSorley on Brashear comes to mind.

What? How do you come to that conclusion? McSorley barely tapped brashear ont he side of the head, and it only looked bad because Brashear fell over backwards and hit his head on the ice.

This d-nozzle does a full two handed baseball swing straight down on the top of the guys head, not even close in comparison.

I wasn't comparing them, this was obviously much worse. I just thought the thread was about two-handed slashes in the NHL, and that particular one came to my mind.

This looks bad, but really, it's exactly the type of hit a helmet is specifically designed to absorb. Hitting someone on the side of the head/ helmet is much worse.

Regardless, this is brutal and is full beer league action. We get stuff like this in my league at least once a year. We then kick the offender out of the league for life.

The guy who did the chop isn't even wearing the same jersey as the other guys (he's got the away version, everyone else is wearing the home version). Probably someone's brother that got invited out to fill out the roster for the night when the team was short.

And it's definitely the guys helmet - the guy that got hit would be in pain if the stick was broke over his shoulder. You have to slow it down and watch it frame by frame to see it on the head.

...and why the heck was anyone taping this?? Local cable must be hurting for content.
