wow UD Replacement mail...not good at all

I had a 06/07 spa triple that i redeemed orr/bourque/esposito #25, when i redeemed it, it said inventory depleted please contact customer service which is a bunch of bull.... so i go through the steps and my replacement comes today, 08/09 orr/bourque dual sott and a jean beliveau 05/06 ultimate collection ultimate sig. so how do they go from more then likely giving the triple away as a redemption replacement to someone else and giving me a dual that isnt in any way a short print and a HOF auto really worth nothing...I honestly think im done with UD!
 
Did you redeem this thing lately? 06/07 redemptions are just about expired from all the sets. So you recieved HOF autos for HOF autos? Maybe not a triple, but none the less decent autos. Have you looked at some of the other stuff being handed out as redemptions?

I redeemed it back in feb i think so the redemption was still good, to be honest i just really wanted the card i pulled and a triple in return would have been nice or atleast something with a serial number...maybe it is fair but in my opinion it isnt...
 
Call Customer Services and let them know you're not happy with the replacements. I hear it helps some times if you talk really nice to them. I've seen some replacements over the last little bit and it just amazes me how they treat one person so good yet others not so good.
 
While you didn't receive a triple auto, you did receive a dual auto with two of the players from your original card including Orr which is the most sought after of the 3, and that 05/06 Ultimate Beliveau auto is not even close to a HOF auto worth nothing. That was a beautiful set, Beliveau is one of the greatest of all time, and it is hard signed.

I understand you were hoping for a triple in return, but you did pretty well all things considered, especially when you are talking about a 4 year old redemption.

Yeah, I don't trust UD when they say that the inventory has been depleted. They pulled that on me once. I redeemed a 05-06 Ultimate Collection Ultimate Signatures Jean Beliveau and received the depleted messaged and a Paul Coffey auto in its place. A year later I received the Beliveau card as a replacement for a 06-07 Parkhust Pat Lafontaine auto that was never made. :crazy:

Have to agree with this, you could have been given a LOT worse, being this is as old as it is. Or been given nothing at all, they could have told you it was expired and left you out in the cold.

The redemption wasn't expired so I'm not sure why you think I'm lucky to get anything at all, but if you think it was a fair replacement I have a dual Orr/ bourque and a beleavieu auto I can trade you for your triple!

My point is what happened? Was my card given to someone else as a replacement or was there 26 redemptions? Or was some of them returned damaged but with UD I don't think there in the buisness of throwing out damaged product.

You are right, even if someone sent in a damaged one for replacement, they would not destroy the damaged card, it would have gone to somone else as a replacement.

They pulled this on me with 06-07 SPA for a Malkin Future Watch Auto Patch /100. Inventory depleted.

The replaced it with a Carey Price Ultimate SIg. WTF??

After more stress and calls they finally replaced it with a damaged Crosby Artifacts RC.

Screw them.
 
Your redemption was most likely given to someone else as a replacement.

I'm not much for the "suck it up" theory when it comes to something that I've invested money into. If the company says they will send me one thing but deliver something else then I have every right to find out what happened. Do you just make an exception because its Upper Deck? If it was any other product or company and I did't get what I was supposed to, then yes, I will call them and find out why. I've only personally had to call UD CS twice and both times were regarding redemptions.
