WTT: My 4 Sports for ANY Pokemon 1st Ed. Mint Holo Pre Neo Genesis Cards

Hello guys, I've decided to take on this small project of obtaining every 1st Edition Mint Holograph Pokemon card from every set prior to Neo Genesis. Which are the following sets.

Base Set
Jungle
Fossil
Team Rocket
Gym Heroes
Gym Challenge

I am looking to make a SMALL trade for any one card in the sets above. I just want to ease into it. All I ask is that the cards be MINT like the example provided below.

Good luck for sure. One of the gym sets is going to be really tough. My fiancee was attempting to gather one REGULAR set of every one out there without going to eBay, and couldn't find anything from a few sets. I think Gym Challenge was one of them.

EDIT: I'll see if she wants to part with any of her 1st ed holos...I'm sure she has a handful

The Heracross i used as an example was pulled from the VERY LAST pack of pokemon cards i brought way back in 2001 as a young child.

Hearing your fiancees project gave me a little chuckle because it sort of reminds me of the difficult projects i've undertaken since i've gotten back into collecting last year. I like taking on challenges but it can get trying sometimes. Has your fiancee made decent progress in her project?

She stopped collecting Pokemon cards in the middle of the Hidden Treasures series. It was too tough to keep up all her hobbies, so she dropped the Pokemon one since she still plays the games as they come out.

When she quit, I think she'd made pretty reasonable progress to date. Not sure how far she was, but yeah, she had quite a few base sets done.

Yeah, it gets tough when taking on too many tasks. I try not to overdo myself past my means but everynow and then a project has to take a backseat. As long as she got the original base set done, then i think it would be easier to walk away, being that is pretty much the most important set in pokemon.

I've been trying to find a pokemon forum where they actively conduct buy/sell/trade such as this forum, but its a harder task than i thought. Would your fiancee have any suggestions?

No, she never got into message boards for her collections, so no idea where you'd go for something like this. SCF had a small Pokemon subsection once upon a time...did you try there?

Unfortunately SCF no longer has a non sportscard section so no luck there. I'll just have to keep on looking. I know that there is a strong pokemon community on youtube so i might message around there but I have a really good feeling that this is going to be a tough task as far as trading goes. Its easy to purchase the cards, but thats not what im trying to do this moment.
