I have to admit I am drawn to this old stuff.I like the simplicity of the cards. No shiny surface,no special holders needed, just good old cardboard done in a time that a lot of us remember as a much simpler place and time.None of these are of high grade but a few of these are what one may consider quite rare. They are a very recent discovery or at least an acknowledgement that they do in fact exist. That being the black bottom 1970-71 OPC All-Star cards.:veryhappy:Thanks.

This is one of my most significant pickups. This 1970-71 Montreal Canadian team issued post card.Dryden's first as a Canadian. Not so much on its own.But the fact that Dryden signed the back of the post card makes it a pretty nice item.I have had both the post card and the autograph certified so as to prove it authenticity.I do believe that it is a very early Dryden auto. But I do not know that for sure.Just that it is real.:dance:

PS:Yes I do need to get myself a new scanner as to show these beautiful old cards off in the way that they deserve.

Great stuff. I'm with you, modern cards don't have the same appeal to me. Nothing beats an old cardboard card with a cool or even cheesy picture on it lol.

It's pretty amazing how short Dryden's leg pads was....he was a very tall goalie!
They doesn't looks like a pair of 34' pads more like 32'....
I used 36' to 38' pads when I was active despite being almost 4 inches shorter than him!

Otherwise beautiful cards!
