Your opinion on the Czech player in the NHL

Hi,
I'm new here, I come from Czech Republic. I'm very curious person and
I'm interested in your opinion of our players in the NHL.
What is your favorite Czech player or who you hate? What do you think of the immortal Hasek? Has any Czech rookie a chance to be reputable?
I'll also like when you write various experience with Czech players.

Hasek and Jagr were great....Hasek was probably the best goalie all time and one of my favorites. It looks like the Czech system is struggling to produce many young stars. Their jr system is currently a shell of what it use to be, they are really a B division group now. I like Kaberle, Erikson and few others however they certainly don't have the same skills as the old Czech players.

Havlat has been a nice addition to the Minnesota Wild, though he had a slow start.

the coyotes have a couple good czech players. martin hanzal should be a name all hockey fans should pay attention to. he is a defense first player who can also put up points. radim vrbata has been one of the coyotes better offensive players each year he's been in phoenix.

I liked watching Martin Erat during his junior career in Saskatoon, and think he has had a decent NHL career, although I will admit I thought he might have had better scoring stats than he has put up, but still like him as a player.

Well, I like how solid and steady Kaberle has been over his tenure with the Leafs...apparently it may be over with the Leafs, though, very soon

I like Loui Erikson and few others however they certainly don't have the same skills as the old Czech players.

Hi there,

I like Pavelec and the way he plays, but it would be nice to see his numbers if he had a stronger team in front of him. But I think he is going to be great in the future.

As far as the past, I was always fond of Hasek and his unorthodox style, although I think he should hang up the blades and call it a career!! As well Jagr is never too far from the mind, he was great as well.

Jakub Voracek should become a good player.

From the top of my head, fav Czech player in the NHL is Hemsky. I also like Elias and Hejduk but not considered a favourite. Also like Krejci aswell. As a Jackets fan, hope Voracek becomes a star if he doesn't get traded. I liked and hated Hasek at times. I pray Petr Straka makes it into the NHL.

I've always wanted Voracek to be a replacement for another Czech favorite, David Vyborny. If he can feed Nash consistently then I'm happy. If he can do more than that then I'm ecstatic. I just know I don't want to see him traded.

Hemsky is my obvious choice...then it would be Hejduk. If they played on the same line, that would be so sick to watch!

even though I have hated Jagr when he left he will always be a favorite memory for Pens fans.......I really wish that Milan Kraft panned out...I graded a few of his rookies(the grades are not the best but even if they were BGS 10 they'd probably be worth less than 5.00

I'm glad you like the Czech players :beer: For the Czech people Jagr is the biggest legend... It is pity he doesn't play in nhl...
