I have almost never traded/sold vintage cards, so this completely stumped me when someone expressed interest in one of my damaged cards.

I read over PSA's general standards for grades, and then compared my card to some completed PSA sales on eBay. The card seemed to fluctuate anywhere from $460-$580 over the past month......... but what does that make its raw value?

I'd like to hear some opinions on how you seasoned veterans go about this!!
It's tough when you don't live close enough to hold the card in your hand to deem a value.
Please no shouting, as this is all very subjective, I'm trying to learn!!

It really depends on the card and the type of damage. Certain cards are extremely difficult to find in any decent conditon (Howe, Orr, Richards, Sawchuk, Hull, etc,) that collectors love to grab them in any conditin if they can.
