Dana White's pretty known for covering up factual evidence by manipulating the media sounding all tough guy and making himself sound like the victim in the process.
There has to be 2 sides to this though. You can't just cut people from contracts because they won't enter into a secondary agreement to your primary contract with them. AKA and the agents must have had some part in severing ties.
If Affliction ever takes off, the UFC is going to be in trouble not because of competition, but because I guarantee you Affliction management will have more respect for their fighters (not to mention suitable paydays) than White does.

As a "casual" watcher of MMA... someone who'll stop and watch TUF and the events that are non-PPV...
If White is trying to bring people like myself into it, he's doing it the wrong way. Trying to build his empire at the expense of others is one thing. Belly-aching about it in the media makes him look like a pansy.

I'm surprised Dana White would be so ballsy to cut one of his best Welterweights whose only loss in recent memory was to possibly the best Pound for Pound fighter. You just know that if Affliction can survive long enough, he's going to be in the ring for them. It also sends a pretty clear message to everyone else on the roster that you either play ball, or you go home. Makes me wonder what Dana's response would be if GSP, B.J. Penn, or Anderson Silva declined to sign the agreement.

I have a feeling that nobody will end up being let go. This was terrible PR for the UFC and made Dana look like crap.

Leave to Lorenzo to save the day. I'll say this it's great that Lorenzo has been getting more involved with the running of the UFC. Someone's gotta keep Dana in check when he goes off like this, and settle things down.
