Well, I have not been trading for a few years and the free site that I was using has gotten very complicated. So I am wondering what is the best free site to use, to make a new trade page. Im looking for an easy to use site that wont take alot of know how because when it comes to web pages I dont know how.

Thanks in advance Jason

i think photobucket is best.
it just takes a little time to update it when you have new cards, and you need a scanner as well.

I agree. I'm computer dumb, and if I can figure it out, so you should be safe :)

Same here...

I'm so PC retarded that when I go to turn on my PC, I bring champagne and a Barry White CD to make it more special.

Photobucket is easy enough that I can use it with no issues. Yet.

I am just wondering if i am only one who dont like buckets?

So hard to actually find anything if you look specific cards... Attleast i will take text based list anyday over bucket.

Thanks for the imput. I think Ill start off with the freewebs for the list and in time perhaps ill get myself a photo bucket page. From what I can see Photo bucket is nice, but I really dont want to scan every single card that i have for trade, but I do want people to know what I have available.

Freewebs for a trade site, photobucket for pictures.

Fully agree with this one.

"Base" traders just listed in freewebs and better ones in Photobucket (+webpage) Also add those better cards into Your lists in freewebs, so it will give a full idea what You have. Also easy to update Your own wantlists there.

When starting a new bucket, it is essential to make enough pages, so You can separate GU/AU/RC etc. cards. Also when starting, add "tags" so it will be easy to arrange items. Also make one page for traded cards, so You can keep up what is gone and in what condition just if there are issues afterwards.

I have been updating my freeweb pages now for 2 months and I can tell that it is the best idea I ever had when collecting. You can always just give Your address, so everyone can have a look. Also function Ctrl + F very useful, as then You just need to write Your wanted players name in that search box and it will point out those cards. (I added this here, as there were complaints that my list of 600 rookies is hard to read!)

The biggest problem with buckets are usually the people who use them. No descriptions, just scans of 9 cards in one image and you're forced to determine if you want to click to see the big one.

Not to mention, Photobucket is often slowed to a crawl.

I have my own web hosting, and use a free software to do my images. I also make sure they're labeled, and have a search tool to help people find who or what they might be looking for. I also have the image map submitted to Google so people can find them that way too.

I use Flickr to host my pics...but I don't maintain a trade bucket or anything. Flickr has an external bulk uploader where you can pretty much upload as much as you want at a given time and then display the pics in 5 sizes (thumbnail, small, medium, large and original)

The setback, though is that if you have a free account, you're held to 100 MB upload a month and 200 visible pictures (they archive the rest, but they're not available on the front end view unless you upgrade to a premier account, which I believe is $20 a year.)
