are these sold in TINS or by box? I called a local store for it and they said they only have the TINS coming in..can anyone help me define which is the set that everyone is going crazy over?

The boxes are hobby only - the tins are retail. Autos are 2/box in the hobby and 1 in 15-16 tins in the retail. Will have the same base cards in the packs - but the only kicker in the retail is that there is a Stanley Cup banner for each Cup for the Habs - one/tin

Damn that means I have already lost out on that boat. Its sold out everywhere but i think i will pick up a tin or two just for kicks.. maybe i will pick up that one rare auto

Are the 201-300 cards 1 per pack in tins?

I've heard the 201-300 SPs are also one per pack in the tin. You can also pull the parallel cards numbered to 100. My local hobby shop, The Card Rack, is getting tins in for $32 taxes in (Canadian). The hobby boxes were gone in a flash.

Looking at the ratio on the back of the retail packs in the tins, they show that autos are 1:48 in retail. With 10 packs in retail, that would put the ratio at 1 auto per 4.8 boxes. I opened 5 packs out of 2 different tins and pulled two xx/100 variations as well as one of the SP cards per pack.

Hmm good question, not sure but I have not heard of any going to any stores yet.

I know of 2 hobby stores which had them this morning but 1 store has already sold them out.

Has anyone tried contacting smekm about buying boxes off him? he is selling this stuff as well as icebox

I just picked up two of the tins at my local Target store for $29.99 each. The banner's didn't look half way decent.

The one with the Pocket Rocket is hobby; the red box is retail.

So the retail ones are like the tins but no banner? Hmm dilemma... what's beter 24 packs or 2.4 tins that each contain 10 packs and a banner?

Also some people are paying a boatload of money for the tins! Or at least eBay would indicate based on ended auctions. don't know if anyone paid.
