I have HI & The Bay, where else can I pick up singles (that isnt Beckett!!!)

Apologies if this has been done before but, are there any other sites where I can pick up singles? Unfortunately living in the UK I havent got the luxury of a local hobby shop.

I have been on a couple of other sites in the past but have forgotten what they were - always nice to have another option or two.

Well in reality you do have hobby shops at your finger tips. I can think of atleast 6 that participate on this site. I know we have trade nights and the others likely have trade nights or at the very least accept want lists...

Contact some of them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that ties into HI, no? And if you're referring to a local shop near him, perhaps he doesn't have one (neither do I). The B&M's aren't always an option.

naxcom is another site, although haven't visited there in quite some time

Sportlots looks like a 5 year old designed it...Naxcom last time I went there had less inventory than a 3200 count box in my basement...but that may have changed now. Either way...if you can get through the headache of the Sportlots UI, there should be some decent stuff there.

Sportlots is great, but they don't have options for shipping outside Canada and the US. You could contact some sellers individually, but I'm not sure how that would work.

In time, it'd be great to see something tantamount to Google Base for sports cards.

With all the stores that do participate on the site, sending out the wantlists, then trying to choose how you're going to buy based on who has what available - well, that's really the only benefit of Beckett Marketplace's general dumb****ery.

I'm not reffering to the trades or sales we make make on here. I have helped a few people here connect with some others who don't "DO" the internet thing for singles and set needs.

It's all about networking - I guess i should have not assumed people would have got that out of that post.

No, I understand the networking aspect but it's still via HI if he/she/they contact a store through a member on this site.
