i have a question about the autos that you may have pulled. i bought 5 boxes and about 8 loose packs and got 12 autos. one is a redemption, 10 are black backs, and i did pull a red back of Tomas Holmstrom. of the 10 black backs, 9 were signed in blue ink with some sort of sharpie or felt-tip, one is signed in black with the same type of pen, but the Holmstrom is signed with what appears to be a red ball-point!

just wondering if anyone pulled anything similar to this...

ps. if anyone has any of the Erik Johnson mini parallels FT (that aren't black back), lmk.

I am headed down to grab two boxes this afternoon - I'll post the break here for all to see and hopefully give you some information.

The ink on the Front is not a "variation" to my knowledge but the color of the writing on the back is. If you read the info on the packs it shows the odds of the variations. I thin it's Red back 1:case, Blue 1:2 cases, Purple 1 in a million... Hope this helps. Mike

There are variations with the backs but there have been different color of inks used for the signature... there are 2 or 3 that have been signed in blue or black with one signed in red.

He might have run out with one pen and just grabbed something to finish off a few cards

the ink used to sign the cards isnt what distinguishes between the parallels, the ink they used to print the back of the cards are.

i pulled a jp dumont purple back auto :D

I knew that. I was just letting them know that there are different ink colors used as well.

I pulled a red back auto of Wayne Gretzky

doesn't anyone actually read the original post before they create a reply post? :|

i mean, jeez... gimme some credit for having at least half a brain... "red back" variation is pretty distinguishable from "red ink"... just wondering if anyone else got one signed in ball-point.

I know, that's why i replied saying that mine was signed in black ink. I knew you were asking about ink color not the color on the back.
