Additionally I believe that some HI members are organizing a get together Saturday night after the show. I'll let them post the details as they'll know better than I.

OH and I'll be there Saturday and maybe Sunday morning.

EDIT: How could I forget, HobbyInsiders very own Insider's Edge magazine will have a table set up where you can purchase the March issue as well as sign up for subscriptions!!!

Chris

Very nice....

Although there isn't enough Arial Black or Smilie's for my liking...

All who attend have an enjoyable show!

Brian

Chris...dunno if the "boo" was you or Dale, but I think it's actually a really good idea they're not having a Friday session this year. The last few shows have been pretty dead to the world on Fridays. Even the Tiger Williams signing in '07 wasn't all that lively...and it just seems like walking around in a deflated balloon. With the exception of the HI guys cracking jokes, none of the collectors are enthusiastic...the dealers seem like they'd rather be somewhere else, and not even Dale and Angie's good moods can help that. More importantly, because all the dealers aren't there and about 30% of the tables are empty, nobody wants to spend money because you never know what that 30% of tables will be holding the next day. No deals to be made either since there are 16 hours of card show to go for these dealers the next 2 days. The only Chinner-sponsored "Sweet Pulls congrats" moment I've ever seen come out of a Friday was cloutier39 snagging a 4 goalie Quad Auto from All World for $100...and that was at least a year ago...may have even been 2 years ago.

I think this is one of the best decisions Dale's made for this show.

I'll probably ride down to the show early on the Saturday...and casually show up whenever on Sunday.

The (boo) was me. I always enjoy going on the Friday afternoon and trying to buy up all the cards that Chinner and Gary will be looking for the next day. I do agree that the enthusiasm level is usually low to non-existent and I do understand why they don't have it open on Friday.

I'm with you...I loved the Friday show day too...I don't recall a single bad one of those. The benefit of the Friday shows was that I could go around looking at the tables there in length without feeling like I was in peoples' ways. Not only that, but I could catch up with the HI member sellers like Moe and Kelvin without feeling like I was burdening them from taking care of customers.

Not to mention..the empty tables there meant Greg, Jon and I could bust our boxes of jobber 90s products without getting in other peoples' ways

I have clearance and will be making the trip north on Saturday - should be there around between 11am and noon I would think - look forward to dumping gobs and gobs of cash...oh and seeing the local HI contingent is nice as well.

See you up there boys!

Well. That does it then. If Joe is making the trek, I'll be there for sure. After all, I haven't seen him in, oh, a day or so. :D

I'll be there Saturday bright and early. Have a commitment Saturday night, so I can't partake in the drunken debauchery/freak show that will most definitely happen that night. Matt has my cell #, so he knows who to call for bail money.

I wont miss it for the world. I am very dissappointed that there isn't going to be a opening on Friday, but Saturday, and Sunday isn't bad either. I wish to try and finish some of the projects I am working on. See all you there.

I'll be there on Sunday around noon.Flying in for meetings on Monday and Tuesday. It worked out rather well. It'll be great to meet some of the members, and hopefully some of the members will be up for some pack wars..Along with some card and cash exchanges.

See you on Sunday

Darren

+1 that's one kick in the junk for early saturday night.

It's true. Jeff and I would love to see some of you guys after the show drinking it up. I think that the idea was to hit up (I think it's called) the Kingston Taphouse.

They look like they have a decent menu and not off the chart prices in the lounge area. Although I haven't talked to anyone about it, I'd assume that we'd head there shortly after the show. Jeff or Bruce can feel free to chime in. Jeff had the idea and Bruce is just Bruce and chimes in on whatever :)

Well it will be about 10 days at the time of the show...ha!

I'll do my best to get up there as early as possible but I have to be back south of the 49th by about 5:00pm - if the boys are heading out for afternoon tots, well, count me in, otherwise I'll have to chug them back in October.

See you fella's in a week!

I won't be there. Heck, who am I kidding, of course I will be there. Had to trade a overtime shift to do it, but I'll be there!

Everybody hear that? Randy's got the bail money!

That's the plan right now is to head to the Kingston, they're usually pretty good whenever there's a game on, plus it's HNIC.

If anyone has another place in mind to head to for the after show get together, just throw it out there.

If anyone plans on having a lot of beverages, Bossa has this posted up on their site with some great prices for a room. Thanks to Bruce for pointing this out.
