ok shoot me if you wish for this not being hockey cards, but wanted to see if anyone has heard of this "company' - Canadian Chewing Gum Co.
I spotted a couple game-used bat cards (I'm tempted to use the term loosely) on eBay of Babe Ruth, attributed to this company.

Someway, somehow, the authenticity doesn't seem real to me. Custom cards that have pieces of a frickin' piece of Ruth bat? oy.
Anyone seen any "cards" in hockey from these guys?
A lot of venom in these posts. When did it become guilty until proven innocent?
In any case, you asked if any one has herd of them. I've herd of them.

Someone else mentioned that there was a blog. I agree that its gone now. Can it still be found in google cache?
As for price, I'm not a baseball expert. I know that I can buy these pieces;

for less than $100. But that's aftermarket baseball cards. what about pre-market?
I also have no idea of the size. How big are the pieces in the custom card? They look positively tiny to me. How big are the ones on the cards from Donruss and the other companies that I linked. Could you make more than 6 of those small pieces from one bigger piece? No idea, but if you could, that looks about right in terms of price.
If you check his this guys FB -
cyberwow, you'll see that he buys quite a bit of stuff from
The-zone! Who seems to specialize in selling tiny pieces of memoribilia. If you look at The-zone! neutral and negative FB, most of them are complaints on how small the pieces are, which fits with the tiny pieces on these cards. Is the-zone! legit? Does anyone know about them?
Cyberwow's most recent purcahses are for
"Original New york Stadium Wood" from uncertified sellers. In all fairness the guy he bought it from they sell a lot of baseball stadium stuff. Is it possible he just used this stuff on the cards instead of real bat pieces?
As for the card's COA, I'm curious as which wording you prefer?
"Congratulations! You have received a Piece of History Game-Used Bat trading card from XXXX. On the front of this card is a (sic) authentic piece of bat used by BABE RUTH. The authenticity of this piece of memorabilia is guaranteed authentic by XXXX"
"Congratulations. You have received a Babe Ruth Game-Used Babseball card. On the Front of this card is a piece of memorabilia that has been certified to us as having been used in an official Major league baseball game."
I replaced company names with 'XXXX'. One of these comes from the Canadian Chewing company. the other comes from a major sports mem. card company. I'll leave it to you to figure out which is which. If you need a hint, it comes from the back of the only Babe Ruth bat card produced in 2007 and is listed in Beckett. .
I know that there are a lot of people here who are upset about the use of name and design, but the original poster was talking about mem. authenticity. Is it really a Babe ruth bat piece?
Has anyone contacted the seller? Can anyone prove or disprove the authenticity?
Cheers,
reoddai
