How to sell 05-06 The Cup RC set (no Crosby/Ovechkin)?

Hello!
I have working on a 2005-06 The Cup RC set for some years, I just gave up the dream to get the 2 last cards (Ovechkin and Crosby)...

So then i planing to sell them all, but i i don´t know if i shuld try to sell them all as a "set", or if I shuld i try to sell them 1 and 1 on Ebay/HI and so on?

Give me input, or if You know someone that could be intrested to buy a "set" like this!?

The onley ones that are singel color patch is Mike Richards and Jeff Carter! :(

All cards are as i see mint and no remaked patches...
So how do i do to sell it and what kind of money could i get for the "set"?

You'll get a lot more for individual than you would as a set. Probably 2-3x as much. The only people who would want to buy it as a set would be a high end dealer looking to split it and make a profit, so you'd be lucky to get 1/3 of what they were worth.
 
Some really nice cards in there, Jimmy!

As the others have said, your best bet would be to break it up and sell individually. You've got some great patches in there that will no doubt help boost the sales on some of the lower-end guys in there that would otherwise go for much less. With the many set-builders who are looking to put together crazy-patch sets you'd get a nice premium for a lot of those, whereas if you sold as a lot your return would be less.
 
sell it individually unless you have better things to do with your time and don't care if someone else makes the money. if you sell as a set, expect that the buyer will want a steep discount.
 
Alright, looks like im going to split them... :(

Feels realy hard but hey im never going to buy the last 2 cards, even more now when im been travling around and spent to mutch money!
Alright spending 70 days of my life on Nürburgring (in Germany) driving have been fun but hell i have spent soooo mutch money so i think i need to move a lot of cards to get back on the track (in life then)!

So i guess that everything exept the Bergfors, Bure and Nillson collection going to hit Ebay, so hard to put a value on a card!
And i know that if i put "offers" here on HI i never get any or i got low low offers that are 1/2 Ebay sell price.. :(
 
offer them up on hi first, to give our great faithful a chance at some of them--then ebay them.First dibs on the vaneklol....Good luck jimmy!

The last Phaneuf went on the Bay for $380. The only other recent auction was for $490 in an auction with 25 bids on it. The seller in the second case is a known ebay shiller who has been recently booted off HI for shilling his auctions excessively.
If you are going to put it on the Bay and get somewhere in that range for it, pm me we may be able to work out a deal on here. :)

Sorry to hear that you're throwing in the towel, but understandable for sure.

I agree with the masses...unless you're in need of quick cash, and are willing to take about a 70% shellacking...you'll be much further ahead to move them individually. There's no harm in offering a discount to someone who's interested in multiple cards, but I wouldn't even bother offering them all as a lot (especially on ebay, unless you went with a BIN/Best Offer type listing...but even then, I wouldn't hold my breath).

When I decided to bail out last Summer, I sold off a handful of the bigger names right off the bat to a few fellow set builders...then traded some others in the following months for some nice stuff for the PC...then sold off some more earlier this year to help fund my Property Of purchase.

Lol - I am considering having some type of keep sake from the hobby! It looks like it might be the 05-06 The Cup Gretzky Honorable Numbers as that's the last big card I have to unload,... or I am considering a set of 05-06 Cup / a set of 05-06 Ultimate for kicks!
