2 year deal just under $4 million. Cap hit of 1.9 mill. Bert was solid last year for the price. I'm happy he is returning though several in Michigan can't stand him.

Fairly good value for the 1.9 per year. Very few people like him due to the Moore incident, but he brings size and can still chip in a point every other game.

Good for TodBer. He has found a home, and isn't drifting from team to team anymore. The guy will always have my support.

Still has that fire in his belly, but he has completely turned around my opinion on him and controls his anger very well. Yes, he did something stupid, but he is a team player, everything you hear from the Wings is the guys love him and he's great with the younger kids. I didn't want him back in the league after the incident, but now I can see why we always say everyone deserves a second chance.

Good signing for the Wings, great price tag.

OMG...hell just froze over :) You must still be drunk from celebrating the Chicago win

Bert has had a very consistant past 2 seasons. He isn't the "star" he was before, but he isn't being paid that way either. From what I saw, he looked out of place for the first while in Detroit, but setteld in quite nicely (and quietly). He still gets a LOT of phantom penalty calls, but it goes with the name I guess. He definitley was one of the better players for Detroit in the playoffs this year. Compared to what other players make and how they produce...this isn't a bad deal for either party.

The #1 reason I'm happy about this signing....I won't have to chase down any new game worn jerseys from teams he played for. I'm trying to get one from every place he has played, and it was starting to get real expensive :)

Bertuzzi for that cap hit, for 2 years is very solid signing. No surprise there, really.

I'd love to see Minny re-sign Owen Nolan to a similar deal. Maybe just a little lower cap hit, but these older power forwards can provide excellent return for the cap hit, and help teach the youger guys how to win.

Nolan has said he wantss to stay in minny and I belive the wild will give him a 2 year deal at least. I would say 1.75 Mil a year. I would also love to see Modano Sign with the wild
