Gamers...what are you playing right now?

Considering RE3 is for the PSOne (unless you downloaded it from PSN), I'd say you're pretty far behind the times....LOL

I assume you mean RE5? :)

I meant 5 lol...

Was thinking (for PS3) and typed 3 instead of 5.... anyways...

yeah, it's pretty good.

So Gord and Jon the *******s they are got me into the arcade X-Men game again. I picked it up on April Fools day when it was 200 MSP and didn't play it till Saturday when we started playing it at his place. I used to use Colossus nonstop back in the day (his special move and signature WUAHHHHHHHHHH yell rule, even though he can't attack in the air worth a crap) and used him nonstop again. Infinite continues means we could just bash the special move over and over again, die, and then come back to life...so a 30 second cross-section (if you're familiar with the game and the announcer's voice) with us was basically.

*game start*
COLOSSUS
DAZZLER

Needless to say, you'd probably go crazy playing with me for more than 5 minutes

Jon too most likely since he dies twice as many deaths as Dazzler than Gord and I do.

Outside of that, I'm back to painstakingly trying to finish ONE SEASON in the original Bigs rookie challenge. I've been at it since December, and I'm finally into the 2nd round of the playoffs. This is far too long to be a reasonably sized season campaign in an arcade style game...

LAN in the bag. Started Infamous 2. Sucker Punch understands what a sequel is - it's exactly the same as what came before, only different. Robert Zemeckis also understands this.

For the XBL version, I would just use all my Mutant powers, die and do it all over again. HELLA fun. Also: Dazzler? REALLY? They couldn't come up with someone cooler than ****ing Dazzler? Morph would've been cooler than Dazzler.

Yeah that's all we'd do is rock mutant powers, die, rock mutant powers, die, rinse and repeat. I don't know why Jon rocks Dazzler since her special sucks, but it beats Cyclops' weak as **** OPTIC BLAST which does nothing but kill the one dude in front of him.

It was basically Storm & Wolverine then everyone else in terms of specials.

You're joking right? You have to be facing people to hit your specials with those 2. Nightcrawler's special just whoops everybody's *** onscreen, and Colossus just stands there and lights half the screen on fire in all directions. I gotta go Nightcrawler, then Colossus, and then Wolverine, Storm, Dazzler and Cyclops.

Dazzler's interesting though...she wouldn't even be in the game if it wasn't for her ridiculous popularity in the 80s. I'd forgotten she was in the game to begin with...I thought it was Jubilee, who I'm even less fond of.

C-lus has limited range. If you line up Storm or Wolvie at the far side of the screen and unleash, forget about it.

Jumped head first (no pun intended) into Portal 2, which a buddy let me borrow and has been sitting on my shelf for weeks now. I'm in a bit of a reviewing lull, so I finally have time to be a gamer first and reviewer second for the first time in a while.

If anybody's played...I'm really not a fan of chapters 5, 6 and 7, gels, etc. Portal's charm for me was the puzzle solving aspect of the test chambers, and stretching outside wasn't that much of a welcome feature for me, though I understand that if they wanted to make this a full release, they had to do something different. For that reason, I guess I do appreciate the storyline and the advancement you get within it. Nice to hear about the background of aperture science and such.

It's been all NCAA, all the time. Road to Glory and Dynasty are as comprehensive as ever. My only complaint is that they made Denard Robinson the most fragile man on earth. Every game through my first two seasons, the guy has gotten hurt. It's usually minor but I've had him miss time with a broken collar bone and broken ribs. C'mon, EA!

Man EA nailed it for realistic on that one. :sniper:

Fantastic deal if anybody doesn't have Red Dead for 360 yet - It's $19.83 (or something dumb like that with their numbering scheme) at WalMart right now. If Best Buy will Price Match it (since it's not advertised, and most Best Buy folks can't be ****ed to call the store to verify the price,) it'll be $17.82 or something like that.

Hot damn, my coworker FINALLY brought back LA Noire so I can take that home and play again.

He also brought back my copy of Lego Pirates...um...that one will go back to the shelf and I'll probably play it later on. Not in a Lego gaming mood right now.

Sloggin' through Deus Ex right now. Engaging game, though there's a real disconnect between the development useful for game progression (e.g. being able to hack through security systems at will) versus those essential for combat survival. It's not like you can develop one path or the other and do fine - you NEED both. It's a pain in the *** to try to balance these things.

The only other complaint I have is that the load times are ridiculous. Seriously. If I have enough time to knock off a chapter from a Russian novel during a game load, it's TOO. LONG.

Dead Island for the 360 baby!! What a blast. Just wish I could figure out how to play online.

I also traded in at FS for the Resistance 3 Doomsday pack. But I won't crack that until DeadIsland is finished.
