As it stands if you want to watch it live in Canada you'll have to watch it on Sportsnet East or Ontario.

If Ellenberger wins he could very likely be Carlos Condit's next opponent. I personally would love to see a rematch between those two.

Main Card (on Fuel TV):
-Diego Sanchez (23-4) vs. Jake Ellenberger (26-5)
-Stefan Struve (22-5) vs. Dave Herman (21-2)
-Aaron Simpson (11-2) vs. Ronny Markes (12-1)
-Stipe Miocic (7-0) vs. Phil De Fries (8-0)
-T.J. Dillashaw (4-1) vs. Walel Watson (9-3)
-Ivan Menjivar (23-8) vs. John Albert (7-1)

Preliminary Bouts (on Facebook):
-Jonathan Brookins (12-4) vs. Vagner Rocha (7-2)
-Buddy Roberts (11-2) vs. Sean Loeffler (25-5)

Had a chat with John Albert last week about a pleathora of things from fights to video games. Here's the MMA relevant bits as he discusses learning from his mistakes and the Menjivar fight - Link

I don't know that I've seen a 10-8 first round followed up by what should be a 10-7 second round. Dillashaw looked fantastic. But extremely impressed with the heart that Watson showed.

That was a fantastic Main Event. Jake Ellenberger is quickly becoming one of my favorite fighters. And it probably did supplant Menjivar/Albert as Fight of the Night.

$50K bonuses for Fight of the Night: Ellenberger/Sanchez, Submission of the Night: Ivan Menjivar, and Knockout of the Night: Stipe Miocic.

Overall, I'd say it was a fun card.

That was a crazy fight. Wow. I don't see any fight touching Menjivar/Albert for fight of the night. Awesome fight.

Rarely do one round fights get fight of the night. I was surprised to see Pickett/Barao get it that one time. I said the same thing to Jon last night...that when Menjivar submitted Albert, it probably cost them both fight of the night if Ellenberger/Sanchez went more than one round.

Albert, for what it's worth, looked fantastic when he wasn't getting outhustled standing up. I lost track of how many submissions he went for that round.

Menjivar's experience basically propelled him out of situations that lesser fighters would've lost to...so props to him.

It looked like Albert just gassed out there. Which isn't a good thing three minutes into a fifteen minute fight.

Yeah, I think he panicked when Menjivar hit him really good early (you could see a change in his demeanor) into the fight, and wanted to try to finish ASAP on the ground if he could, so he spent all his energy on those submissions, and submission transitions. Shame, really. He'll probably pop up on a Fox or FX card in the summer and be given another shot, though.
