Another break-in, this time at The IceBox in Innisfil

The IceBox was broken into last night. I would classify these morons as completely different morons than the ones who targeted Mike's store and/or Stadium Sports.

These geniuses smashed through the front door at 2 a.m. and ran off with all our NHL jerseys, about 80 of them. Most of it was standard fare, but here are a couple I would appreciate you keeping an eye for on eBay or your local flea market if you're in the Toronto area:

* Wayne Gretzky white Edmonton Oilers autographed -- this jersey is numbered 45/50 on the bottom of the number below the signature. I have the corresponding LOA in my possession.

* Mark Scheifele blue Winnipeg Jets autographed jersey.

* Tony Esposito white Chicago Blackhawks jersey -- this is a jersey that was made for Tony to wear during the playoffs in the early 90s. It is an on-ice gamer with fight strap, etc., but does not have the ESPOSITO namebar on it.

Cash register wasn't touched, no cards taken. They did break one of my display cases climbing on it and knocked over a Jean Beliveau framed autograph. We also suspect these must be crackheads, because who else would take Leaf jerseys right now, amiright?

If you see any of those jerseys, a phone call or email would be greatly appreciated. We're open for business today with a shiny new front door.

Hey Sorry to hear about your break in... I do a gretzky signed jersey search every day on ebay as I collect Gretzky jerseys... DO you happen to have any photos of this jersey? Also is it signed on the numbers? Is it a WGA, UDA or a different company? I willdefinately keep an eye out, as any white oilers jersey I see catches my eye.

First thing Wayne and Scott, I'm sorry to hear about your being broken into, it stinks on several levels.

But Scott's post got me to thinking. We have a pretty large collecting community here. Would there be any benefit to us putting the word out that we are looking for a white Oilers Gretz jersey that's been autographed? It may boil the jersey to the surface...The down side is this action could actually generate even more theft if the crooks see an opportunity to sell various jerseys.

Son of a beach! :badmood: So sorry to hear, Wayne. The cops use to sit next door at the beer store on radar that time of night, but that was before they put the Timmy's in up the street. :devil: I will keep my ear to the ground. I've been in Innisfil for over 40 years, so hopefully someone I know will hear something, if these POS talk, or are locals.

LOL @ the crackheads taking Leaf jersey comment. Seriously though, they must not of really known what they were doing, and must of just did a random quick snatch, and grab. Jerseys are probably the easiest thing to take, and carry in a short amount of time. Realistically, where can they sell these around here? Keep an eye out on Kijiji, and in the Super Shopper, and of course the 400 market.
