Any chance it could be kevin weeks or irbe?
The autograph is neither Weekes nor Irbe. Irbe always signs his with his JSY # of the team that he is signing the item of. Since it is a Hurricanes puck, he would have signed with a "1" above his name. Additionally, when signing a puck, he almost always signs with his last name only quite legibly as well. I have several pucks signed by Irbe from the Stars era, up until the 2003-04 NHL Entry Draft. Irbe has a very loopy signature and his number with the Hurricanes was 1, and with the Sharks, Canucks, and Stars, it was 32. Never 46.
I have four Irbe pucks here:

Kevin Weekes is a close match than Irbe, however he also has a different signature than that and he would be unlikely to sign a puck with the #46 since he wore #80 with the Hurricanes and with the Lightning before that, and with the Rangers. Additional, Kevin consistently signs the first letter of his name (K) with a very distinct loopy style that would be unmistakable, especially on a puck.
I am almost 99.9% certain that the puck is Mike Zigomanis. If you look up Mike Zigomanis autographs on Yahoo images, or anywhere for that matter, multiple elements of the signature match. For one, the number worn by the players is the same #46. The first initial and the way he signs the "Z" is indicative of Zigomanis. He rarely signs his number on cards, but I have seen it on pucks before. Additionally, the other Hurricanes players who have worn the number 46 have very different autographs than that.
I am going for the Hurricanes master set with autographs and game used cards so I had to familiarize myself with the various autographs that they have. And if there is one player that I know like the backs of my hands, it is Arturs Irbe.
