Blowout Cards settles lawsuit with Upper Deck

interesting read, I figured BO cards online would sell UD too but i guess not....

I wonder if the settlement results will ever go public...

"Collectors interested in purchasing Upper Deck products by the box or case can contact our store manager, Matt Thomas, at [email protected] or stop by our brick-and-mortar hobby store.”

There is your loophole.

I've bought maybe a dozen cases from them. Slow to ship but usually difficult to beat prices.

Will be just a matter of time before they become an AIR and whether I'm ignorant or not, I can only imagine that that's a good thing.

I think people were looking for blowoutcards to be the ones to stop this kind of thing...I think blowoutcards only wanted to be in on the deal.

Exactly. They didn't sue because they felt Upper Deck was giving people the shaft. The sued because they felt Upper Deck was giving THEM the shaft.

Now that they're in like flint, betcha they'll thumb their nose at anybody else that is in the same position that they were in before they played the old "Ima takin' my ball and goin' home unless you let me play" card.

First, the expression is "In like Flynn", in reference to Errol Flynn and his near-legendary prowess in the art of the nookie hunt.

Second, I think Triple B's hit the nail on the head. Blowout was honked about being shut out on a lucrative deal.
