Went to Maple Leaf Sports for the monthly trader night. A great time was had. I started by busting a box of UFC Bloodlines. Pulled a bunch of nondescript autos, A couple of base fighter relics.

A few of the better hits from the box:

Rockhold Fight Mat 07/88

Chad Mendes Relic/Auto 16/50
008-12.jpg

Akiyama/Okami Dual Relic 74/88

The top-3 hits from the box in no particular order:

A redemption for a Patriotic Patch Card of JDS /25
002-12.jpg

A magenta plate of Demetrious Johnson 1/1. Matt gets first crack at this if he's interested.

And lastly a Chris Weidman Ruby Fighter Relic 6/8. Really nice looking card.

I wasn't too thrilled with that break. So a little time passed and I asked Art (Hama) to grab two packs from an open box. In them were a JZ base auto and this.

Forrest Griffin 17/149.

Still not happy, so I ask Art to grab me two more packs. First one contained a Ben Rothwell auto. But my fourteenth pack of the night contained this.

Pretty psyched to pull this one. It has already been redeemed and will be PC as it has one of my PC fighters (Phil Davis).

Thanks for peeping the thread. Comments are always appreciated.

Cheers.

Congrats on the pulls. My fav was the Japanese fighters. [o]

You would've loved my breaks on Sunday Stacey. I pulled Yoshihiro Akiyama, Takanori Gomi and Hatsu Hioki autographs back to back to back.

Me and Jon = :whatthehell: :duh:

Gord = :yess:

Both breaks weren't too bad Dave...obviously, the booklet is a sweet piece, and it's always nice to see somebody pull a PC card :D

Who else do you collect outside of Phil Davis? I don't think I have more than a couple of his Knockout 2010 auto relics and a mat card or two to offer up in exchange for anything.

Nice pulls. How do Japanese fighters tend to sale? Do the buyers in Japan go crazy like they do for Ichiro, Darvish, etc cards? Or is like Fukufuji where it was meh?

Hey Dave > Let's talk about that Mighty Mouse for sure. I'll give it a good home.

Stacey > The Japanese fighters sold really high out of the gate, but because their success in the UFC has been limited, they're all affordable to collect now. The Akiyama, Gomi, and Okami 1st autos are still pretty strong sellers, but the Hioki 1st auto (which this is in Bloodlines) is a pretty cheap pickup...most are selling around the $10 or slightly under mark. In comparison, the first few Akiyamas to surface were $80-100
