M. Brodeur live hard signed in Panini Limited

I feel your pain, I'm waiting on a SPA SOTT Triples of Brodeur, Roy, and Giguere, and a Brodeur Cup Sig patches. I've asked UD repeatedly about the delay and I keep getting the run around

Still waiting on an Honorable #'s with Eddie Belf :foottap:

Maybe with the recent injury troubles he has had, he perhaps had time to sit around on the recliner and sign a few items.??
Best of luck getting your items in though guys. Curious about the delay, as usually most of his stuff is live; is it not?

I put a message up on Upper Decks Facebook wall, this is how the conversation went

Me: Hey Upper Deck, is there any update on the Martin Brodeur redemptions for the 11-12 Products are going to be ready to go?

UD: We have been in regular contact with his agent. The latest update we have received is that they are having difficulty locating the last shipment of cards we sent which is a major concern. We are working on it with them now and looking to get them tracked down so Martin can get them signed.

Me: does this extend across all the 2011-12 releases, more specifically SP Authentic and The Cup?

UD: Honestly we are still trying to determine that with his agent. We are pushing to get a more accurate appraisal of the situation this month.

I have been in contact with all the personal at Upper Deck for the past 6 months on redemptions from M.Brodeur and S.Crosby and to be honest I have had at least 5 to 6 different reasons why they have not returned cards from Ultimate and the cup . Upper Deck cannot even get there stories straight among themselves when I read the comment on Facebook about there concern on the last batch they sent which cannot be found I kind of lost all hope that I will ever see them I am waiting on 11redemptions between these two players and all are high end Uper Deck has failed to support there redemption program . Upper Deck stop blaming the players and look at yourself.

This is why I don't crack UD or Panini unless I can get a great deal. So frustrating to wait months and months and sometimes over a year for redemptions.

I do know what's going on, that's why I commented.

It's inside industry stuff but it's time the players stop being blamed all the time for not returning autograph cards and labels. There is usually more to the story than what collectors are told.

very interesting.
I always felt it odd when they say it's because the player won't send back. yet the players are always at signings at frozen pond and the like.

Not only that but I find it very unprofessional for a company to blame the player's saying they have big egos and the like.

It is more than unprofessional when they blame the player and it is a false accusation.

Treat a player fairly and they will treat you the same way. Give them respect and you will get it back. Not much different than any other business.

Pay them late or don't pay them at all, then you get what you deserve.

Of all the sports in my opinion, hockey players are the most down to earth and honest.

That's my take on it and I have had over 2,300 individual agreements with players in my over 20 years in this business.

I just hate when the players get blamed unfairly. I find it difficult to keep quiet.

Great comment. Time is money, and when the players don't get due compensation for their time it does become an issue. That's the best explanation available for why some guys have tons of autos with some producers of cards, and not quite so many with others.
