I ended up winning the one jersey I was trying for. The Jordan Smith Portland Pirates jersey. Kind of a historical piece Jordan lost his eye and is the reason why all AHL players wear visors now. A sad piece of history but history non the less. Would love to add a Kolzig Pirates next. Lol.

Many things I hate about these auctions haha, but I got an o'sullivan rookie kings gamer so I'm happy :dance: good thing it was really cheap, barely had money for that so I had to pass on the Mississauga ice dogs jersey they had too which sucks, but I'm happy with set 1 from his rookie year :beer:

They said its set 1 and they played their first game of the season on the road in Anaheim, could this be the jersey he made his debut in or most likely Isn't? Hoping it is haha

It went much longer this year than usual - typically ends 4:30ish ET, but there were auctions that changed high bidders as late as 5:30 this morning, so this one went very long.

Won the only two things I bid on -

I ended up getting (what I think it) a pretty good deal on a Paul Stastny gamer.

And a Drew Miller helmet/visor combo that I will end up using for rec hockey - heck of a lot cheaper than going out and buying these things individually.

Kind of wish I would have pushed a couple further (Housley and Tkachuk sticks) but stayed within budget and did OK.

You got a great deal on the Stastny Joe, and that Kocur was one hell of a steal.

As usual with the GW auctions, there were some bargains and some that you just shake your head at and say "WTF are you thinking?" Just looking at the Hawk jerseys, there are a few that I laugh at as the buyers either didn't do their homework, or they are just plain nuts.

I was tempted to snag a couple non-Hawk sweaters because the prices were too low to pass up, but stuck to my guns this time. Kicking myself a bit this morning, those Jim McKenzie Devils for $150 were bonkers, especially the 02-03 Playoff SC year gamer. Oh well, I didn't get caught up in the craziness, stuck to my guns, and ended up with one new closet addition at a crazy low price. I'm interested to see what bobbyp6565 ended up winning, I thought he might be going after the one I bid on but I guess I got lucky.

Which did you end up winning?

I only ended up bidding on a couple things and won them both - the Boulton Sabres jersey and the McKay Habs lid. Did a lot of damage prior to the auction acquiring the three jerseys (Dan Kordic, Darren Langdon and Mike Hartman) I posted Monday and have a few other things in the works right now as well. Lots of enforcers/fighters in this auction, but many I already had from one team or another, so played this one kinda low-key.

Nice, the Boulton was a steal too. I grabbed the Koci, not a big name but any time you can get a Hawks gamer (that isn't a GI or preseason) for $199 plus fees, you take it!
