Stamped w/seal Original Six autographed cards -- anyone have a clue?

I have about 20 of these cards, most of which are the 1991-92 Original Six set and a few of the Ultimate Draft, etc. They are all autographed and all have some sort of raised seal on the bottom.



The seal isn't clear enough to make out (nor are any of them complete), but it appears to say SPORTSCARDS at the top. It definitely says SEAL in the middle and then what appears to either be NEVADA or VEVADA below that. The very bottom, however, looks to say ON, which to me would be Ontario.

Does anyone have any information on these? Thanks in advance!

Smokey's - who made these cards were based out of Las Vegas - so it could be their seal

Smokey's was the company behind Ultimate Original Six, set name for this product.

The autographs don't turn up much on the secondary market. I believe they were only available by scratch off redemption. The Mosienko is by far the most coveted since it was his only certified auto (non cut)

If you are interested in parting with any I'd like a shot at the Fergie.

Ah, this makes sense! I couldn't figure out why the things would have the seal on them (well, at least part of a seal, anyway). I'll have to do a bit more research on how to price and list them (maybe contact Richard Scott) and you will get first shot at the Ferguson.

I checked the Beckett annual. They report 500 sets of the autographs.

Given how many hundreeds of thousands of packs of original six were produced and how many we're never opened, never mind how many scratch contest cards were just chucked I think we're safe to assume that at most 250 sets were redeemed.

I have a good number of these cards and pulled a couple scans from my blog for caparison. You can vaguely see the seal on the Mosienko in this scan but the autographs on both it and the Ferguson are very similar.

I just need a #54 Fred Stanfield and #90 Keith McCreary. If either of those are in the 20 you have please send me a pm.
