Man, I'm SO excited for this set...awesome work on UDs part for landing this license. I have NEVER been a fan of what JOGO has done in the past.

Can't wait to see the auto checklist. I'm hoping for 90s Argos like Pinball Clemons, Matt Dunigan and Rocket Ismail (UD has been using him A LOT in their products, so not using him in this set would be a HUGE letdown).

This is very cool. I'll pick up some singles from this product for sure. West Coasters hope Swervin Mervin Fernandez is in there. What about a "Banjo Bowl" subset? ;)

The CFL’s first-ever official trading card set is bound to become a collector’s prize for years to come.

Huhn? Sure, Jogo wasn't a trading card set as it came as a pre-bought set, but to ignore the 50s/60s Topps sets and the 3 Pacific sets a decade ago seems odd. They were official.

Depends on the context - if it was also licensed by the CFL - then yes, it may be the first official CFL set. From what I remember - that the CFLPA may have licensed all of the previous without direct licensing from the league. I don't know if OPC/Topps, All World, Pacific or Extreme were directly licensed by the CFL, but I also recall that the licensing fee from the league itself was also quite high relative to the value of the license.

IIRC - in the CBA or from a previous agreement - the CFLPA had all access to use CFL marks for trading cards - which is why Jogo sets had logos on them - they were licensed by the PA - and in fact a lot of players paid to be in the set - in return they received a number of their own cards for personal use.

I will be opening at least one box of this, love me some CFL and will probably chase anything with ticats on them, if this is made available in the stadiums I think it would help get the word out about the set, cant wait for the checklist

Maybe I am wrong and Peeps in Tdot will appreciate the CFL stuff. I know in the past, I couldn't even find people to go with me to games with all the free tickets I had lol..

Let's see what happens..
