I don't even watch the games any more. I just put the game on the radio on my PC, and listen to Joe Bowen call the game with Jim Ralph, as his sidekick. This way I can do my stuff on the computer at the same time the game is on. The idiots they have on TV now make me not want to watch, well that and the way my favorite team has played most of the year.

Healy lives in his own reality. He was insufferable as the PA shill in the 04 lockout coverage. He hasn't improved in 11 years. Pierre is over the top, but he's tolarable in small doses.

Mike Milbury:p

i'd just as soon have Mcguire and Healy over for tea than look at that smug A$$wipes face for longer than the nano-second it takes me to change the channel.

Ok, Jack Edwards literally just yelled "And Marchand sticks it in the back door!!!" Really Jack, really? We don't need details like that, I doubt Marchand will appreciate that vocal gesture either....

Darren Pang gets my vote. When I watch the Blues on tv I have to turn off the volume and listen to the radio broadcast for the play by play thanks to that a**hat

Did you know that there were five Flyers players going through divorces during the 2010 Stanley Cup?

I found this out on Monday as Healy, for some yet unknown reason, decided to share that on national television. There was no provocation for it at all.

It's not that I hate Healy, or anything like that, I just don't respect him as a broadcaster.

I do enjoy Pierre Maguire, like has been said above, I appreciate his passion, and knowledge (which is way deeper than anyone here) for the game. And I will always be grateful for the Pierre Maguire WJC drinking game during my last two years of University.

Did Healy name any names? That'd be really ignorant if he did.

both as bad but who knows have not watch much games this year besides what was on NBC when its not the same teams playing again..

but i can take both a little at a time if I can choose one it is Maguire for how he delivers the information at times

Nick Kypreos is terrible but I will chalk that up to to many shots in the head, the channel gets turned at my house every time stombopolous comes on

You know what I find funny? Everyone is talking about changing channels/hitting mute when certain people are on, but I don't do that for any of the people that have been mentioned.

The only person I will not listen to is Bob Cole. Can't stand him. Worse play-by-play announcer the NHL has ever seen. He's always been about 3 to 5 seconds behind the play, doesn't know the player names, uses incorrect grammar dozens of times each game. If I turn on the TV and he's the announcer on the first game I find, I change the channel and watch a different game, or don't watch at all.

Healy is by far the worst based on the choices above.

I do find Maguire very knowledgeable, professional & articulate whenever I listen to him on the radio. I don't know why he changes to such a buffoon on tv though. Still watchable compared to Healy anyday.

The last few years that Bob Cole and Harry Neale did games together I couldn't stand it. Harry Neale was the worst. Maguire and Healy don't bother me that much, they have their moments but for the most part are tolerable. Jack Edwards for Boston is horrible with his over-exaggerations for or against the Bruins. Everyone gets pummelled in a fight against a Bruin if he is announcing. When I had NHL Center Ice 2 years ago I remember watching a Carolina game with their announcers and I thought they were brutal, but I don't remember their names. Daryl Reaugh is a little to over the top for me as well.

For me, I can probably count on one hand the number of commentators that don't drive me insane. Healy and McGuire are both annoying, as is Bob Cole. Likely the top three for me (among those who do national broadcasts). As far as individual team's commentators go, Pittsburgh's irritate me to no end, and I will not watch if they are calling the game. Boston's are high on the irritating list as well.

Healy. He's an idiot.

Pierre is a little too enthusiastic for some people, but I like him.

It's amazing to me that CBC/Sportsnet/Rogers doesn't follow the lead of other major sports and get actual intelligent people on their broadcasts. PJ Stock, Glenn Healy, and other assorted plugs and back-up goalies galore. Look at the NFL and their key analysts on their main presentations. Quarterbacks, Hall of Famers. SMART PEOPLE!!!

Actually, Kevin Weekes is ten times the commentator than he was a backup goalie. He's one of the few I can tolerate. But for me any discussion group that includes PJ Stock and Glenn Healy instantly puts my hair on end. The only saving grace is/was Ron MacLean.

I honestly believe that Healy is the most negative, asinine and unlikeable commentator in all of professional sports.
