Team Canada Master Collection

If it comes in the Wooden box as previous Master Collection sets, I would buy the box off somebody. Great looking set, cannot justify breaking and selling. Base singles from other Master collection sets don't sell well.

I really wish they would do more of the old time players from 70's and 80's and even 90's.. Only a few Robinson cards for the past couple of years

Hockey and Golf? Apples and Oranges? Good try.................no bait taken. ;)

I would actually love for the US to dominate hockey and get a set like this, my wallet is ready. But we have a LONG way to go to get on Canada's level in this sport.

As far as Tiger Woods, he's definitely lost some luster, I won't argue that because it's quantifiable. But I'll be damned if he isn't one of the greatest and most dominant athletes to ever live. Please argue that.:)

That's actually shocking if he isn't in there. He is a great signer and has a huge place in Canada Hockey history. The Big E was a BEAST.

Have also heard that the Canadian shelf price is slightly in excess of $3000. You'll probably hit 5-6 big names I'd imagine (hope?) but the Howdens, Beaulieus, Cizikas, etc are a bit scary to imagine coming out of a box that's basically someone's year's worth of monthly car payments.

Well, this is an interesting product. Same price as a case of The Cup except no RC's /99, which is what justifies the latter's cost.

Also feel bad for anyone who bought Gretzky/Orr duals from The Cup or SPA now that the market will be flooded with them. Can't blame UD for making use of their contracts with these two giants, but it will be a shame to see their autos dwindle in value.
 
Master collection is a special set that comes in a nice box, (looks like a humidor) and it is for the high end gambler as the chance you hit one of the massive hits is rare, but the box the cards come in and the actual base cards are nice. I have a tiger woods and a mohammed ali . They have had 2 micheal jordans ones, a yankees one and a gretzky one that i know of. I bought a patch auto /9 gretz which was sick that i sold.

If you want something you can show on your desk, bookcase etc.
if i can get one i will get one as it has nice pics.

My tiger woods had 3 autos including a flag, my ali one had 2 autos that ud had been saving for 12 years as they signed in 2000 and dacardworld dropped the price so it made sense for me ( black friday sale)
The Mj one sold for almost 5 k. Crazy. The gretzky ones came out before my time in this hobby but i have been told they got gobbled up pretty quickly and are mostly in private collections.
 
Too bad MacKinnon wasn't in this, I'd have chased one of those autos. Everything else I would be interested in will be FAR beyond my price range so I'll just sit back and watch the madness :D
 
Ok, so in terms of a group break this is what we're thinking.

16 spot hit draft. $200 a spot. 1 pick each.

Picks will include:

Base Set (1 pick)
Jersey Set (1 pick)
10 Auto Cards (10 separate picks)
4 Additional Mem Cards (4 separate picks)

A total of 16 picks.

Now, we could bring the price down by splitting up the base/jerseys sets but it just seems like a shame to do so.

Anyways, we're just testing the waters to see if anyone is interested. If so, feel free to PM us. Thanks!

Seems odd.
