Is this legit?

The final serial number of the base/rc's in SPGU are autographed... Essentially making them a one of one.

IE- if the card is out of 18... Serial numbers 01-17 are just a normal base card, Serial number 18 is the autographed one.

Hmmm

Let's see it's jersey numbered and there are collector's putting this parallel set together.

Just an eBay 1/1

So I'd venture a guess that it's a legit auction.

Hello,

Like others have already mentioned, this is essentially a 1/1. It also appears there are two bidders who are going head to head on this item already. With 6 days left, it may get interesting. Congrats to the seller :D

Cheers,

Can one technically argue that this is, in fact, a legit 1/1 and not just an "ebay 1/1"?

Even though this card is /12 it would seem to be a "true" 1/1 with it being the only auto'd card in the full rookie series.

One of my customers pulled the Jake Allen from a couple years ago. He has no idea what it would fetch, but we'll never know - he actually collects Jake Allen!

I have 27 of these last numbered SPGU autographed rookie cards from 2012-13 through 2014-15. It seems that this year's batch is going for ridiculous prices compared to what I was able to pick these up for in the past.

The Faksa is /12 and it seems there are at least 3 collectors (none of them me) that are trying to put this SPGU set together this year. One of them hasn't even made an appearance bidding on this auction yet. I expect this auction to go a lot higher when all is said and done.

whoever it is winning this auction (4177 feedback) is also in the lead for the Eichel /15 (un'autoed, obviously) at over $1000 so far.

To put things in perspective, I sold the 2014 SPGU Morgan Rielly 44/44 when it first came out for $405 US (this was when the exchange rate was about 1US:1.10CDN or thereabouts.)

That person has been buying up a lot of the lower numbered cards from the set. As far as I know, this collector did not pick anything up from SPGU in prior years.

That was the second sale of the card too. If my memory is correct, it initially sold for <$150.

I'm just glad he stayed out of the way on my Eichel Exquisite /15.

Nothing Eichel related in SPGU is really floating my boat, so also glad I don't have to compete with Mr. (or Mrs.) High Roller on that one.
