e-pack pull of a lifetime

Sorry guys, I see no difference between a physical pack and a digital pack... it's just the location which you're buying it from.

And UD Ultimate digital packs are available everywhere you go in the world... so you could technically turn it around and say, how dare UD put the biggest hits in physical packs because the McDavid Shield is probably in that store in Edmonton (or wherever) and I can't access it because I live in PEI (or wherever). So that's not fair!

Now, if the purpose of this discussion is that you're alluding to UD putting better hits in packs available online then you'll have to offer up some solid evidence. Otherwise, it's just sour grapes.

Sour grapes, eh? Have you ever run a small business? Ever know anyone that has? Ever spoken to any LCS owner about this? Studied economics? I have no idea who or how you collect, but your point in saying they are the same just doesn't fly.

Yes, I run a small business. Yes, I have studied economics. I'm not seeing your point.

An unopened pack is an unopened pack. The only difference is where the pack is located. A pack online is much more accessible than a pack in a LCS.

If there is two of the same lottery ticket one blue and one red and you know the jackpot is in the blue, are you still gonna buy the red one? That's where the difference is.

Very good point. But it would be nice to see a note in the checklist like Franky said. I least for the first few years of that new thing :)

I get what you're saying with the lottery ticket analogy... but by that logic, no one would buy another pack after the lottery ticket is pulled... and that is not the case.

All of the cards for ePack are scanned so when you "open" the pack you get to see the hits. Someone(s) on at least the COMC side knows exactly what is not in the physical packs.

I am not behind the scenes with UD so I cannot say for sure how they do their pack out but if they were able to say that all of the true RC shields would be in physical packs I have to believe they knew what was going to be physical and what was going to be ePack.

If the winners are randomized between the red and blue what's the difference.

The bigger issue is that UD diluted everything by making so much product, but physical and virtual. They also upped the price.
