So I get my GOLD Bounty Cards in and my Auston Matthews is damaged in the top left corner, immediately call UD and send off an email.

Been dealing with them for a few days on this now actually, I have 2 options

1: return the card and get cards as replacements in value :snapout:

2: they will give me 1 Silver Spectrum Matthews and I keep the Gold

are you F****** kidding me, Beckett value on the Silver is $100 to $250 ( yes I know it sells for more)

but the GOLD/50 will book for a lot more than $250

"Again if you keep the card you are being compensated for the damages on the card not the cards full value. That is why you are being offered one silver ""

I have suggested maybe 2 Silver would be more of a fair compensation not 1

Thoughts??

1 silver good enough ?

Depends what your end game is.

Are you keeping the gold set for your PC? If so, and the damage isn't that bad, I think an extra silver Matthews is worth it since you can sell it and get something else for your PC.

I just can't get past the fact that they had 50 sets to send out, promoting this brand new way to get people involved in the hobby, and they send out a DAMAGED card... you had one job UD!

Utterly ridiculous this has even happened.

I bet it got damaged by COMC. They still had to handle the cards, sleeve them, and top load the Matthews. Human error most likely.

I know 2 others whom had the gold and silver Matthews damaged !!! >> they put regular commons in hard sleeves and leave all the desired cared in a soft sleeve packaged between >> and they know this is a problem they have had several complaints about damaged GOLDS.
Great program, great way to get people involved, BUT c'mon take better care of the cards !!

I thought they only went to COMC if you requested them to be uploaded on your page... why have them sent to COMC if you were going to have them sent to you?

All of the sets are handled by COMC. You can have them uploaded to your COMC account or shipped for free by COMC to your address.

My set came addressed from COMC, and I elected to have it shipped directly to me from the UD bounty website.

Ah - okay. Thanks for the clarification!

I had mine shipped direct, and it was fulfilled by COMC and all of my cards were simply sleeved and put into a 220 box with a lot of padding to make sure the cards didn't move, then into another box, then into a bubble floppy FedEx bubble mailer. Luckily all of mine arrived unscathed.

I know COMC has a TON of activity, but you'd think there would be some protocol given to high value pieces moreso than simply sleeving them.

I know when I request a shipment of cards I have purchased on COMC, they ask whether I want cards in top loaders (which I have to pay extra for)...was this option given to you when you requested your sets to be shipped? Seems silly that the group of high end cards would be shipped somewhat carelessly with no recourse for damages.

Nothing offered when completing the shipping information.

This is exactly why Upper Deck needs some competition in the sports card industry or start hiring employees that know what they're shipping and give a crap about what they're shipping....

Foil cards Superstar cards autograph cards limited edition cards all should be protected because the price of that protection is far less than the price of replacement

1. This is not a cause & effect of the exclusive.
2. As many have noted, COMC handled the dispersal of the sets.
