Thanks for the comments everyone - I just added another recent pickup and, yes, all 4 of these cards show inverted patches. (However, wait until you see the one coming in that Leaf got totally right!!!)
Let me start by saying that each of these cards are fantastic (even with the patch inversions) and they all are sitting happily in my PC. Also, to provide a bit of context, I purchased all of these cards on the secondary market knowing full well that the patches are upside down, so, Leaf definitely does not owe me anything. Now, if I had pulled the cards, I might be a bit upset with how the cards were packaged out. The point I wanted to make is simply that in an ultra high end product such as this, inverted patches should never appear. I would love to know how a hockey card production facility could ever let something through it's quality control systems like that and then ship it to Leaf. It makes me want to start a new business venture that will PROPERLY construct sports cards since there is obviously a gap in that part of the card industry!!
LeafGregg has been so kind to comment that this mistake IS a mistake and will be addressed going forward. To me that means my concern has been heard and I can be confident that this patch issue will be confined to one product only. As for this years Ultimate - it seems a number of cards were produced like this, but, I don't see it making sense for Leaf to attempt correcting the problem some how. I think we just have to live with it.
