Kucherov buyback dilemma

I don't know what to do with the best card of my collection. Kucherov young guns buyback gold/25. His regular young guns keeps selling higher and higher. Do you think it would be the good time to sell it for big money or I should keep it and sell it further for more? There are currently 2 on ebay with best offer options. Thanks for your inputs!

Really depends. Is it a PC card for you?

If it were me, I'd be looking to move it this year. Kuch is a tremendous talent but I feel his year and the TB success is the perfect height to move that card if you're looking to acquire something else, etc.

It's my favorite player since his short stint in quebec city but cards ares no more in my priorites with the kid now.
How much do you think would be a fair price? I understand that the one on ebay at 11300cnd obo is overpriced...

I know that feeling. As for a price, I have zero idea. I don't follow his stuff at all.
 
The Gold version xx/25 is less popular than the regular version xx/86, so I would consider now the right time to sell it. Expect it to sell for quite a bit less than the regular blue version. That being said, you may get a player collector who will bite at a good price.

I am fairly certain that the value of the base Young Gun really has no direct bearing on the value of the Buyback versions. That holds true for most players, not just Kucherov.
 
How much do you think you will actually get? Like, people are asking 900 and 1200 for the 1 out of 86 but they are only selling just over 400. I think the guys asking 7000 and 13000 have been snorting coke, so I personally wouldn't expecting getting that kind of money for the/25. My hunch would be just over 3x what the regular one sells for, so 1200-1500 max.
 
On the contrary, I'd think it would go up more if they win the Cup and/or he wins the Hart. Something to think about. Odds are pretty good he gets the Hart and they are as good a team as there has been in a while, so they could very well do both. If he won the Cup, Conn Smythe, and Hart, it would definitely go higher. None of the scenarios are unrealistic either. I'd consider hanging on a bit longer.

The odds of him at least getting the Hart are near 100%. That alone will make his stuff go up, even if they get swept in the first round.
 
McDavid has the Hart. Take Kucherov off TB and they are still a great team. Take McDavid off the oil and they sink to the bottom. I wouldn’t bet on Kucherov winning the Hart or anyone else as long as McDavid is around.

Totally agree with you that McDavid IS the MVP. He won't get it, though.

Pretty sure we all had this conversation about McDavid & the Hart last year, and he ended up not even in the Top 3.

Sure if you take him off that team they probably sink to the bottom, but they are 7th from the bottom of the league anyways.

I agree that taking away Kucherov Tampa is still a great team but you can't discredit the powerhouse season he's having.

Also - I'd sell this if you are having thoughts. You'll most likely never get the same return in the future so might as well capitalize on the opportunity.
 
Watch out further they go in playoffs sell it or take risk go for all in that they win the cup. After the cup sell it fast as you can so you have two options sell it in the middle of playoffs or winning the cup. If I were you I believe TB will make it to the Finals or Eastern final. Getting over Eastern final it should be easier road against Western Champs. Just my view about playoffs. It tells a lot about me that I still believe in Canucks making the playoffs with 7 game homestand. Go Canuck GO!
