Its funny, every card we own has another side to it, yet, we rarely pay much attention to it. I happened to flip one of my cards over today and noted how nicely done the back of it was.
So, I thought I would throw it out there for everyone to post your favourtie
card ‘back’ in your collection. Feel free to post more than one!

I am probably in the minority here, but I always scan both the front and backs of my PC cards when adding them. It does double the work, but I like having both sides scanned. I will admit that a majority of the cards back are rather uninteresting with not much design and the same facts/stats listed over and over. It seems like when you do see a photo on the card back now days it is usually just the same photo used on the front cropped differently. There is a bit of stuff from the 90s that have decent photos on the backs with a good design that are completely different than that used on the front. More recently I like the backs of the game used cards from Panini Prime. With the large memorabilia piece on the front the backs have the larger photo and are designed nicely.

Kind of a lengthy response to get to showing what is my favorite card back

First card that came to my mind too, thanks for sharing!

Great thread

I remember scanning this in a long time ago because I thought it was funny that his birthday is Halloween (October 31) and he looks like freakin' Count Chocula

Funny you have the bonded in silver back shown, I have the same card and have wondered for many years who is pictured in the bottom, I see no resemblance to Henri Richard in fact it looks like a goalie pictured. Any idea on who it is?

Wow, I never looked closely at that until now. From what I can tell, it’s a goalie, number 1 but not positive of the team jersey that is (only 6 to choose from)

Just figure it out - it’s actually Bruins goalie Ed Johnston! Here is the full picture that the card image was cropped from

So Panini orders a photo tagged Henri Richard from Getty Images.

Purchasing Dept. passes it along to Design Department and says here use this photo

Designer not wanting to show he doesn't know his vintage hockey selects Eddie and crops it accordingly into card layout

Done and Done

Probably my favourite is the 1990-91 Upper Deck #232 Andy Moog.
On the back of the card it shows him sitting on the side of the net. I believe there was a story behind why he was doing this, though I could be wrong..Either way it is one of my favourite.
