Update: Contining story of the Eichel eBay dispute

Well guys and girls, this is an never ending story. If you have read my post here sine March you know that originally I sold this Jack Eichel to Damon Salet on eBay.

Two days after the sale the guy sends me a PM saying he wants a full refund because eBay is closed because of COVID 19 I told him eBay had nothing to do with this as I used the US Postal Service to mail.

A couple days later he sends me PM wanting full refund because now he claims the card is damaged. As you can see it was not damaged.

All this time I keep telling this Damon Salet to return the card I will refund but he will not return the card.

He files a claim with eBay and leaves me my first negative feedback in over 20 years on eBay. I contact eBay and they remove the negative.

After eBay closes the deal, he waits and files a claim with Paypal. I go back and forth with Paypal and I tell them the same thing! Return the card and I will refund. He still would not return the card. Finally Paypal tells the guy he has to return the card to get his refund. And he finally sends it back.

NOPE!

Today I get a notice from Paypal that he is filing another claim against me for the same card! Yes, this guy is trying to get double money from me!

I have sent a message to Paypal and showed them the same refund issued but this sucks big time!

All I can say is beware if this guy buys anything from you.

Stay tuned and we will see what happens this time!
 
All this AND eBay and PayPal take you for almost 15% total. Ridiculous when we have so little recourse and/or frustrations. Sorry Ron, this is shady!

How is that possible to ask for a refund on a transaction that has already been refunded? Doesn’t eBay and PayPal have record of it?
 
I agree this guy is nuts. Thanks for sending me his info btw.

I am sorry that it has gotten this out of control once again, but I am sure if you reported it again, that it will be evident and closed off. Crossing my fingers for ya.
 
I had something similar but different happen and I thought I was out of luck. I contact eBay via Facebook (eBay for Business) and I spoke to a wonderful girl named Brittanie who took care of everything.

If you haven't done that, I suggest/recommend you do.

It shows up in my history that the funds were refunded to him. I sent a message to Paypal but they have yet to reply.
 
UPDATE 6/8/20 from Paypal

Got a response from Paypal and they can't understand how this guy can file a double claim either. They say it is under review but they at least acknowledged that the money has been refunded and I should be okay. I am not believing that for right now.

Paypal then came back and said this Damon guy is trying to get his bank / credit card to refund his money and that is how Paypal opened the claim.

Paypal again says I should be okay and they will alert this guys bank that he got a refund so there should be no claim.

Guess we will see how this goes?????

That's so bizarre. Hope it turns out okay.
 
Brutal experience. Sorry to hear this happen to you Ron.

Please share his eBay handle when you get a chance as I would like to add this scammer to my blocked list.
