Pastrnak Cup sticker auto

I hope you didn’t take mine as a personal attack of in support of UD.

Mine was simply pointing out to collect what you like and don’t let the rest bother you.

I didn’t take it as such and I agree with your take. I just don’t think that people should be ridiculed for legitimate criticism of UD or any other company. “Don’t collect what you don’t like” does however go out the window when one company has a monopoly on licensed products. Personally I prefer Panini, even with their stickers. I also think Dr. Price puts out extremely unique singles and kind of prefer the direct to consumer approach he uses.

DING DING DING

Does anyone doubt that the 97/99 McDavid The Cup RPA wouldn’t have sold for over $100,000 with a sticker auto in addition to it being a photo shoot piece? If expectations get lower every season so will the product quality. But somehow while that happens the price of every product continues to rise. How does a pack/box price rise when breakers are opening more than ever and the high end rookies like Matthews and McDavid are featured with photo shootout material in The Cup and stickers in other UD offerings.

There is no way you would know that in any realm of possibility. Even if it was a sticker auto on 97/99 and the rest were not, it would most likely still fetch 6 figures.
There are serious collectors out there with deep pockets, and the actual sell price for that card as it was, was likely peanuts to the person that bought the card.

Please quit trying to assume you know everything about the card market and preach it as such, because you clearly are out of your depth when it comes to high-end products, or what collectors want.

You literally reiterated what I said about the McDavid. Even with a sticker, which collectors do no want, it would still sell for over $100k because expectations are lowered. Perhaps you’re out of your depth when it comes to reading comprehension?

Seems to be contagious actually considering people are having a discussion on a discussion forum and opinions that people cannot accept are met with such hostility. It is pretty clear by reading the comments in this thread that the majority of “high end” collectors would accept sticker RPAs from The Cup going forward because aw shucks we’re lucky to have any cards! Lofty standards for the only company in the game and their marquee product.

You actually did not say that at all, but whatever.
There are plenty of people here that are not comprehending anything you have stated on this thread to be honest.
