There is a zero percent chance every Canadian and hockey player/fan/etc hates the current President, but you know, generalizations are a thing so..... No surprise one side of the fence will now crap all over Orr for having an opinion, it happens all day every day if you don’t follow “their” beliefs. :crazy:

Oh no, not at all, you’re completely taking me the wrong way. I’m saying that the typical generalization is that IF someone votes or supports Trump, they are labeled as something, guilty by association.

And Ameet so entirely correct, we all have our opinions and it’s good to talk and be reasonable and not fly off the handle with knee jerk reactions. Unfortunately “triggered” is a thing.

All good, my point, at its root, is that generalizations are very bad and it happens way too often. Trust me, I know better than most around here. I’ve been completely mislabeled more times than not. Sometimes I deserve to be reprimanded, I get out of line, I admit that, who doesn’t? But in general, I’ve been taken completely wrong and have a good heart and soul, it’s why I’m a paramedic, I truly love and care about people. Look what just happened, people jump the gun and WANT to see something else. But unlike you, I don’t always get the subsequent opportunity to clarify or present reason to the situation. Haters love to hate.

But I digress, this is definitely interesting times we live in with the pandemic and this electrifying presidential election. It’s opened my eyes to so many things. And with regard to this, I hope Bobby Orr will delve into his reasoning more, if he hasn’t already and I missed it?

Interestin', Bobby Orr is a naturalized American citizen. So, if he wants to endorse the American President in a New Hampshire paper, who are we in Canada to really care.

Knowing full well the level of hate that the Canadian media directs at the President, just to keep us ignorant and deflect from what our own Prime Minister and government is currently involved in. A classic case of Trump Derangement Syndrome..... :foottap:

Anyways, I'm unsure what this current thread and this one that was closed are any different, and if this thread should be allowed to carry on... Granted the Hobby Talk thread deals more with the effect of the endorsement and the card value.

That might be one of the most level headed, measured, and reasonable posts I’ve ever seen anywhere. The media is atrocious, look under that surface scum and you can find REAL answers if you want to take the time to do so. Thank you Brian for that reply.
