The Vezina Collection Show and Tell Thread

Some crazy stuff has already posted! Here was my box that I have no shame in saying was opened days ago haha

First, a dual with a 2 color Hextall #2/5. This could be available if someone wants to make a silly offer, otherwise it can stay in my PC too

Is the cane sticking out of the card? Can you post a cellphone pic or something to give an idea off the dimensions?! The scan does not do it justice!!!!

Let's keep this party going. Another night owl here. First card from the first box: Vezina-Broda Not a bad start.

Thank you so much Dr. Price for making this product available to HI collectors! This product is AMAZING and your work and dedication to collectors is unparalleled in our hobby.

Fantastic results so far all, congratulations! Thanks for posting. I'm really liking the look of the jumbos and of course the cane and horsehair cards. All the cards overall are impressive. Hope to get mine opened tonight after work and post then.

Just finished my 2 box break - my hands are still shaking!! This is an incredible set to say the least and I can see there was a lot of thought that went in to the collation of the cards. Well done, Dr. Price! Here are the spoils (in order of pull)

No photos, but box 073/150 contained two nice Trophy Winners cards:
Vezina pad, Tim Thomas patch 1/5
Vezina pad, Ken Dryden stick 4/5

Thomas backstopped my Bruins to the 2011 Stanley Cup, of course, while Dryden was guest speaker at the convocation when my son received his master's from McGill University in 2018.

For anyone not looking at the original post Barrie has been updating.

UPDATE 1/22/21, HAPPY VEZINA DAY: I will write more later, just dropping these images off. I'll say this: First, thank you to Dr. Price and his colleagues for the most epic hockey card set in history. These cards are thick, heavy stock, high black gloss, and they look and feel VERY special and valuable. Unlike a white, matte stock of something. Second, in 100+ years what cards or set will your grandchildren talk about or chase like this? DO you think McDavid material will be rare by then? HA! Third, here is what it looks like when EVERY card is FOAM hit like the mini lasagna pans. Enjoy the images and good luck to all of you today!

I opened this pack up this morning and decided to wait until this afternoon to post it.

Pack #11/150

Such an amazing looking card with the high gloss finish. No foil on the card except for the 1/5 numbering on the back.

Now on to the main show...

I guess I was right when I thought this box was heavy...
