Player Collectors- Cards you've NEVER seen for your collection.

Hi,

I was going through my collection and realized that there is a certain card for my collection that I have never even SEEN before. Got me to thinking- anyone else having the same issue?

The card for me is 2010-11 Victory RED Taylor Hall Can't even find a picture of one. To make it more difficult, I'd need 1 that would grade BGS 9.5 or better to match the others I have. (Base, Gold, Black)

2013/14 Ryan Murphy Cup Shields. He was supposed to have 2 duals and a single rookie auto shield. Never seen any of them, which leads me to believe they weren't made, but who knows.

I am fairly certain I saw a Gemography when it first launched, but have never seen once since. I have never seen the Triple AU, although I believe I heard that it was originally a redemption, so it is likely that it was never made, if that is indeed the case

If I remember correctly the Reds in 10-11 were fat packs exclusive. Therefore, Hall being included only in the Series 2 update, wouldn’t have a red version.

For me it is a multi coloured swatch for Scottie Upshall SPX rookie.I just find it strange that so many player that year can be found with 2 and even 3 colour swatches. But mine are either all white, or all black. So where ever they were cutting these swatches from. The white and black must come together.So I am thinking there must be a two colour out there some where.But I have not seen one in my almost 18 years of looking. But I will keep looking.

But at least I own his only Blackhawks Shield card

Have to go back a long way for mine, but the 1984-85 Capitals Pizza Hut oversize card of Scott Stevens. They were given out to kids locally, so I doubt many are around almost 40 years later. But I have the 1985-86 issue, and I've seen some 1984-85 listings of other players, so I still have hope that one will turn up eventually. I have every other item on my Scott Stevens checklist through 1994-95.

I've seen and/or know where most of the white whale cards are for my Erik Karlsson and Victor Hedman PC but I've never seen the Hedman Ultimate Rookies Shield 1/1. It's probably buried in a Hedman PC somewhere. Hopefully one day it does appear and I'm in a position to make a serious play for it :beer:

I know you asked for player collectors, and I used to be one. But after I shifted away from that, I don't really have any "white whales" that I haven't seen for my Caps RC PC.

That being said, there is one card from my set-collector side that I've never seen live, and have only ever seen one redemption for.

I have two copies of the rainbow parallel, and one copy of the seismic gold, but never have I ever seen the base Auto RC.

If this is the set I'm thinking about, one collector has most of them, as he scooped up the Matt Johnson vault 1/1 version before I even knew it was listed. Not sure if he has the Odjick though.

I've seen a copy of the Odjick Gold Vault, but it sold for a lot of money.
