Upper Deck announced 22/23 MVP and showed a shell sheet. Yet we all be waiting on 20/21 product…LOL!

Did this really need a thread? We all know about supply chain issues. And we also know that UD is still working on new products.

All I noticed was that it looks like Matt Boldy is a holdover to 22/23 even though he debuted January 6th. Not surprising considering they haven't released any RC's of anyone that debuted this season.

Yeah - even in normal years - usually New Years Day or slightly thereafter was the cut off for guys debuting going into the following years product

I think this one deserved at least the wry smirk. A full on "isn't this ridiculous" thread isn't out of place.

I guess I'm just tired of the same "why are we seeing previews when *2020-21 product x* hasn't even been released?"

We know why. Yes, it's annoying. The horse has been beaten to death.

It's my opinion, but I think that UD should cancel a bunch of sets and focus on releasing products on time and with decent quality control.

I'm not happy with the quality of the cards in my boxes of UD1. I sent 3 polite emails to UD to ask for replacements and I haven't got a single reply. Maybe life is sending me a big signal to cut on wax and focus on my vintage collection. At the moment, I'm packaging a bunch of OPC 03-04 inserts for a trade, man, these are mint and shinny.

I can't believe that UD was bold enough to attempt an "Extended" series this year. It's mid-April, and retail tins for S1 still aren't out. WTF are they thinking.

They already did cancel a bunch of sets this season. We’d be even further behind if they hadn’t.

Considering they had to go to Germany to for their printing presses and options it is easier for Upper Deck to use certain printing options that they have already done so I understand why 22-23 MVP is already being produced. They still need to find other options for other sets. Not every set is simple card stock like MVP.
