Upon our return, we’re celebrating 16 years and 200+ shows! With this return, we are also announcing our finale. Our last shows will be the weekend of May 14th and 15th.
This decision isn’t one that was made lightly. Following our 10th anniversary, we began to wonder just how long we would go. But with our continued year-over-year growth, evolution from our original location at Leaside Gardens, which had become dated and nostalgic, to the Amsterdam Brewery in Leaside, which clearly had become the more popular venue making the Toronto Card Show even more of a fan favourite, it just wasn’t the time. Not to mention our expansion to Newmarket, exciting player signings, and funds raised for Jays Care Foundation, United Way, Easter Seals, and other charitable initiatives. There were still many more years to go! The Toronto Card Show has been a major success in the hobby, we have a strong sense of accomplishment, and our decision to end on a high note feels right.
It's hard to say because a final decision has only recently been made, but it’s possible that our shows could have come to a conclusion last year. What we did know was that it was going to take more than a global pandemic to stop us from returning and culminating in the right fashion.
Are these really our final shows? Officially, yes. We could very well schedule a big show in the future or even other types and styles of events. We’re just not going to put out a 12-month schedule each year anymore.
A Very Special Thank You to our fans, collectors, vendors, industry professionals, and everyone who has supported the Toronto Card Show since 2006!
