Series 2 Box Prices

I bought two hobby boxes of UD1 for $175 Canadian taxes in, so was able to pre-order two boxes of UD2 for $185. The owner is out of hobby boxes and tins, but still has blasters at $45 each.

I got a similar deal, for each box of UD1 I bought I could get a box of UD2 for $195, did 3 boxes. No Bedard though....

Upper Deck doesn't set the prices. It's mostly the distributors. The product on preorder cost the same as series 1. The demand is high so it's supply and demand. If the boxes were 150, then you would have customers buying out the store supply to flip it on ebay for 3x the price. Those who didn't preorder the price goes to what the market will pay for it.

If that's the case, what will Upper Deck sell boxes for on e-pack? You can't flip unopened boxes on e-pack so does that mean UD will sell them for $150? Highly doubt it. I'm guessing $250-$300USD

My one LCS had them for $340 taxes inc. He sold out of I think 4 cases and 2 cases of tins day one. Thursday he was closed because he said he was tired of disappointing people. I believe he is remorseful for selling at $340 and he sold out right away and people he told he would have some for he simply had to tell them the bad news. He said he could order some next week and I imagine his prices will be $400 or $400+

The others LCS in town still has some at $450 CAD which was always his price.

$100 For tins (bought 6 pulled 2 Bedards) and Blasters for $45.

I actually hit 2 Bedards in 3 of 6 tins, I wanted to save the other 3 tins but that lasted about 4 hours lol.

I'm om the hunt for more tins at $100 or lower. Cannot afford a Hobby Box of 6 YGs for $450. when I can get tins containing 23 YGs, 3 Canvas YGs for $600 which yielded 2 Bedards.

Upper Deck sells the boxes to distributors. Distributors sell to shops. The last two dictate the price. As I said preorder prices from distributors were the same for series 1. I have no doubt that distributors are holding back a lot of product that will be released to shops at a higher price and thus to customers at a higher price.

As for epack pricing I would imagine it would be at the usual prices but we would have to wait to find out. I imagine it will also sell out extremely fast. They didn't change the pricing of game dated Bedard cards so I think it will be comparable pricing to series 1.

Upper Deck can be blamed for poor customer service and quality control but they have absolutely no control over resale prices.

I agree with you 100% about UD having no control over prices at your LCS. But they have total control over the pricing on e-pack and I have no reason to believe that S2 will be available for $150

Haven't opened packs in over a decade.

Just ordered a couple of Walmart Exclusive Blasters for $65 USD each. They have 6 packs and the 1994/95 three-card bonus pack.

Figured that was better than the $40 USD standard blasters.

The bold depends on the print run and the epack allocation. And I would guess that they will have A LOT of product to be made on epack. And if Bedard YGs keep dropping in value so will the demand and panic on obtaining one.

Every S1 and S2 release on epack has had a price below the generally consensus, and much below LCS prices. I'd guess 190 USD.
