Now I was really looking forward to this product and for the most part it did not disappoint.
I really love the look and feel of the base cards and think the photos are really great. I'm generally not a 'prospects' kinda guy but it's great seeing all the other league jerseys. Love the Brampton Battalion.
The only layout I really don't like is the Stars of the Game with the headshot in a star. Just reminds me too much of crappy clipart that somebody in highschool would use for a newsletter.
My only real complaint is that out of 3 boxes I did NOT get a complete base set. 18 cards short. Again, out of 3 boxes I expect a lot of doubles but I think I got 2 almost complete sets out of the 3 boxes so I've got plenty of traders for the 18 I need.
Overall...i'm quite happy with this product. I think I looks great and I had some really great hits.
Which leads me to:
Masks: Shwartz, Dryden, Theodore
These 4 I'm keeping as I want the Mask set and the GotG set. Really wish the Masks were more than 1 a box.
These are available for Masks and GotG I need.
The sixer really got me going. House rule is that when I buy boxes, wife gets to open them. She opens the pack and doesn't immediately toss me the point card so I knew it was either the auto or jersey. Then she asks...'Who's Parent? Lindberg? Hextall? Nittimaki?' I'm like....a quad? excellent!! and then she read the last two names and showed me the card. tease!
